This shite never ends.....

From the Observer.

Yes, elite football is a plaything of global wealth. But it could be part of another, better England

A new US television deal enriches the Premier League further still. Will the game remain insulated from wider society, or help reshape it?

Manchester City's Spanish manager Pep Guardiola after the club – majority owned by the Abu Dhabi United Group – won the Premier League for the fourth time in five seasons in May.....

The ruling houses of the UAE and Saudi Arabia are certainly not counting on Manchester City and Newcastle United to bankroll their retirements, but are busy using them to burnish their global reputations.....

Look at the way that Manchester City has bullied the city’s council

On another note, how can watching 22 millionaires kick a football "Enrich" society? I would say it was exactly the opposite, if we had our piers playing we would be closer to them and they could be role models.

The premier league enriches those within it, it is a vehicle for their wealth, it's entertainment, escapism it's not a pointer for how society should behave.

Bullied the council by investing in housing, refurbishment of massive swaves of East Manchester and the edges of the City centre. Building a world class indoor arena and providing much needed jobs in an area that the government's in this country just didn't give fuck about. Yeah we've been bullied more like worked with.

Revolting Rags

Out of town on Monday the ne`-er-do-wells from Nuneaton to Northampton, Dagenham to Doncaster, Oswestry to Ordsall, will gather by the Salford and Trafford debris fouling the ship canal. Revolting rags from a hooligan riddled club.

Some of today`s press have almost eulogized and described the intentions as a "march from the Tollgate pub close to Old Trafford an hour before the 8pm kick-off and end up at the famous Trinity Statue outside the stadium, which features club legends George Best, Denis Law and Sir Bobby Charlton."

The only surprise is that the march has not been likened to the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage.

City player Law, deserves a statue of his own for his back heel. " Denis has done it" - a beautiful football moment. Yet, back in 1974 rioting rag pitch invaders caused the abandonment of the match. At least that game started unlike last season when illegal disorder spilled out of control due to club health and safety failures, but Red Nev, Sky`s mouthpiece, still desperately tried to justify the first ever postponement of a PL match intended to be against Liverpool.

As for the other two on the statue, one was a belligerent, wife beating drunk, who only won 3 major trophies, was sent off playing for his country, went on strike and publicly ridiculed the club (not dissimilar to some of their modern day players), whilst the other was a great footballer but also a much flawed individual who could not eventually abide Best, would not play with him, and had a toxic, almost non- relationship with his own brother.

A new statute is now appropriate - The Unholy Trinity of Ferguson, Gill and Charlton - a current symbol of their past and a permanent reminder of the unscrupulous, conniving. exploitative nature of that club.

The out of towners, looking across to the Manchester club, copied our name in 1902, 8 years after MANCHESTER CITY FC. Our Manchester roots and history are indisputable. Yet, Red Nev is allowed to abuse his media platform in a twisted and misleading narrative simply to promote himself and curry favour with the 1958 fan group. How ironic that 1958 was when many consider that their `history` really began.

Recent media coverage of the united way has been more revealing . Let us see what Monday night brings and hope that, unlike where Liverpool are concerned, the media will not succumb to threats or violence.

Through the ages two words ring true - revolting rags.

There’s a surprise Sky sports page main story about City and Sterling, only time we make headlines is for negative news. How many days ago did this story break,Sky pushing as it’s breaking news the cunts

Nation states
Questionable human rights
What is the real purpose of football etc

It was all there.

It won’t happen but Newcastle and City lawyers should sue his arse off.

Sky shouldn’t give him this platform.
Sky have given him the platform for that exact reason. Using us and Newcastle as villains allows their majority subscriber to froth at the scenes, keeping them happy even if they don’t produce on the pitch as we’re the ready made scapegoat.

Broadcasting 101, know your audience.

It's a game that's on fucking sky as well, absolutely fuckin ridiculous.
Rags, Dippers, Arse and Chavs to tune in just to throw insults at the TV.

Wouldn‘t pay anything to these broadcasters, a long time since I paid for the likes of Neville, Carragher, Murphy, Ferdinand, et al, to downplay everything we’ve done while blowing smoke up the has-been arses.

The ultimate fucking cockwomble.

Even before he said The Sportswashing Derby he said "I'll probably get abuse on social media for saying this but..."

He knows exactly what he's doing

He’s a professional troll - nothing more.

His entire career is focused on producing worthless clickbait, and he’s got his routine perfected by now.

He also knows half his audience is made up of outraged City fans sharing his ‘content’ over and over on forums like this - so the irony is he relies on City fans to pay his bills and facilitate his lifestyle.

I mean - let’s be honest - he’s essentially got one article and one point to make about the game, that he repeats endlessly, mindlessly in slightly different forms across all his articles. His entire professional career is essentially a glorified cut and paste job.

He offers absolutely no tactical insight or understanding of the game he’s supposed to be writing about - he just focuses on the reductive, simplistic pantomime villain stories which any child over the age of about 4 can relate to, purely to stoke outrage and generate clicks.

The best thing we can do is ignore him - cut off his oxygen.

Without City, his life would be empty and he’d serve mo purpose whatsoever.

It doesn't feel any better now you've got it out though, does it! I feel your pain.

isnt it funny the rags v dippers game is suddenly on mnf when does that usually happen. it would usually be 4.30 kick off today but conveniently theres a train strike so it was quietly picked for mnf. so due to train strike and season ticket holders being from london.
