I usually think our own domestic sports media are impossible, but this - from La Marcia, is on a whole other level. Gist is that PSG offered Neymar to City, who turned them down, because Neymar wouldn’t have fitted into the team and would have disrupted the dressing-room. No source whatsoever is quoted, from either club, or from anyone else. And the story has nothing directly to do with La Liga, concerning the non-move of a Brazilian from a French club to an English club.

It's a shame that the way the media operates these days enables people who are essentially poisonous trolls to make a living by producing hate-filled content. It is just one negative story after another saying football clubs are just out of touch with economic reality. But the PL is fantastic for this country, especially during the current post-Covid crisis. Billions have been invested here sustaining hundreds of thousands of jobs (including Delaney's). Watching football, as many have said before, is an escape from reality for millions of people. FFS it's the only thing the UK has got at the moment so why do it down all the time. Spain, Germany, France, and Italy would be happy if they could attract the sort of external investmennt our football industry is getting at the moment.
