Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

On Pep this one. As usual when he refuses to try change things when we need to win the game, we end up not winning the game. That was poor, and he will keep doing it. 'We persist with the same till the end, we're Man City, we persist with the same till the end'.

Honestly don't think that was the problem today, it has been in the past.
Villa went long virtually all game and bypassed the midfield.
We created our own problems in midfield with poor passes and low energy.
And messing around again when a simple pass was on.

Mistakes can lead to goals, it was a mistake. He shouldn't have come that far out in the first place, when he did he's got to hold the ball.

Anyway I'm not an Eddy hater, he wasn't the reason we dropped points today.
It was, but didn’t lead to their goal.

Nobody is saying you have to be better than anyone else.
I'm saying your posts are ridiculous.
What part of your posts are ridiculous don't you get?

Edit.
Just read of few of your posts. Slagging Eddie off seems to be your theme in your posts.
Not a peep out of you on Wednesday when erling scored his 2nd hat trick in 4 days.
Or had that slipped your mind!
Having a different point of view does not make my post ridiculous, it is just different than yours. We have conceded 6 goals from 6 games! There is no reason to attack other people's opinions just because they are different. I you think it is ridiculous just ignore it.

Really rare off day, lack of impetus and quality for most of the game.

A lot of safe passes and they were well organised to be fair. Disappointing that we continue to have a tendency to concede when we give the opposition very little of the ball.

Hopefully shrug it off midweek as we really need our best for the Spuds next week.

I’d like to see Bernie back central and Phil has played himself into the bench with his start to the season.

You'd think people here had never watched City before. I remember last September when everyone was worried about us going 9 points behind when we went to Stamford Bridge.

We're still trying to work things out with a generational talent and how we can play to his strengths in all situations.

This is the longest of long seasons with an effective half pre-season thrown in when the WC begins. Cut the lads and this manager some slack, this is the toughest league in the world by an absolute mile and Pep has to manage his resources carefully over that time. Let's see how good these other teams are when it's midweek football every week until the turn of the year. Disappointing today, but have some faith. We will be fine.

Stop talking sense.

It feels very disappointing to me, we are so much better than our performance today. I was looking forward to the game but feel fed up now. We have mostly played against teams I'd expect us to beat, next week will be a tough test.
It is but the lads usually pick themselves up after performances like this. I’m sure Pep will let them regain focus as well and tell them to Look at what is front of them rather than what’s far whenever everything clicks like it did on Wednesday.

I have a feeling we will destroy Spurs. Murder them. It's been a long time coming.

I am always a bit down when we drop points. But actually what pisses me off even more, is when we play like shite. And worse, do fuck all to actually change it. Like a car crash in slow motion. It does my fucking head in.

Play our hearts out, make decent changes and just get beaten? I can take that. But todays rubbish is just so fucking infuriating.

Agree but this is how we play and if a few players are of it we look slow disinterested! We had I’d say 5/6 players who were of it! Liverpool played Villa today they would of been in there faces from minute one putting them under extreme pressure and that’s how they play!

In the end was happy with the point after playing that poorly plus they should had that goal that was disallowed..
