Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Scoring 10 goals in 6 games is definitely a way to get out of people's bad books.
Yep it sure is, and winning several premier league titles and trophy after trophy opens you up to a shit load of criticism, see mahrez sterling gundogan etc, haaland could.score 100 goals but if we win fuck all what does it count for

I understand and respect your point of view, but, I have reached to this conclusion from my experience watching Ederson in all previous games. He is not that goalkeeper who would stop that shot.
Fuck me ..you really have a thing about Eddie being a shit keeper don't you..
I used to play in goal and if you hear the whistle before the player shoots you make a token effort to save it..if the whistle hadn't gone Eddie saves it no problems

We're not meant to win them all but this was there for the taking , i think Alvarez should have been brought on in the second half for a 25 min cameo atleast and foden needs to be given a break, he seems off pace and is playing really within himself, for a talented player like foden to struggle against Ashley young says all about his form, a break will definitely help him regain his focus.

He should of come on instead of Mahrez

Eleven seventy year olds playing walking football would have moved the ball quicker than City today.

I know what you mean man, but his goals are critical, todays goal was critical, the goals against west ham and crystal palace were critical - so he's doing his job -

Agree but this is how we play and if a few players are of it we look slow disinterested! We had I’d say 5/6 players who were of it! Liverpool played Villa today they would of been in there faces from minute one putting them under extreme pressure and that’s how they play!

In the end was happy with the point after playing that poorly plus they should had that goal that was disallowed..
All true. And I know like you I should be content with the point. I'm still pissed off though ;-)

Pretty crap performance overall but nothing to worry about long-term

It's fortunate that Liverpool have dropped off, cos I don't think anyone else can even run us close this season.

I could get that after a big win the players were complacent and also mindful of Seville. Pep needed to mix it up at half time and get the speed up. He didn't affect the game and that was poor by Pep as he pretty much let it just drain away.

I thought we played well overall, but would have preferred alverez to mahrez as a sub.
I'm still a bit peeved that walker didn't pass to haaland in the 1st half though.

So he’s not at fault for any of the goals, but he’s out of form?
He has not made a match winning save since the game against Atletico Madrid. We will have to agree to disagree. Granted he doesn't have to make many saves but it would be nice every now and then if he did. As I say I have defended him big time in the past, so I'm not some fucking moaning City fan and I am entitled to my opinion just like you are. Let's leave it at that because I'm pissed off enough and haven't got the time to be arguing with another blue.

The result is disappointing, first half was piss poor second we should have finished them off but my major gripe is the Villa keeper for the biggest false injury play acting especially when you see Mings have a word with him, seriously I know it’s bad form but I hope the **** gets cleared out properly.

Having a different point of view does not make my post ridiculous, it is just different than yours. We have conceded 6 goals from 6 games! There is no reason to attack other people's opinions just because they are different. I you think it is ridiculous just ignore it.
Listen I know you like pointing out the negatives, that's completely fine but don't put ridiculous posts and not expect someone to pull you and say hang on a minute.
We're unbeaten.
Nope? You not interested in that.
Erling on 10 goals already?
No? That doesn't excite you?

The new breed of City fan fuckin get on my nerves.

It’s not. We have a £200k pw player who on merit doesn’t get anywhere near this fucking side. He should have been shipped out in the summer. Instead he gets a new contract and now we end up in situations like today.

Honestly, the collective wank-off on here when he got a new contract baffled the fuck out of me.
Couldnt agree more...Never rated him that highly...far too often lack lustre but today wasnt his fault....the starting 11 should all have played better. He did nothing however when he came on
