My mum said to me a few years ago...Increase in the birth of Boys/ Consecutive Kings means a significant war is on the way?

I was taught it means a population isn't stressed, in a biological sense. If you have a biologically stressed population you have a higher number of female births as that will ensure survival. Males are a luxury. Perhaps war is on the way because they all snort coke at football matches.

I think Alfred The Great should now be joined by ELIZABETH THE GREAT.

The world will look back on her in centuries as being one of top 3 in British history.

Interesting that you should say that. Victoria's one visit to Ireland was hugely popular, she was acclaimed in the streets. Despite the fact that the Famine was within living memory.

We were still under the monarchy at the time of Victoria.
I need to revise my history but I seem to remember that her visit was reactive to the rise of the home rule movement.

QE2’s visit was reconciliatory and all about reparations of relations.

Michael D. Higgins has also issued a glowing tribute to her as Uachtaran na hEireann.
