Just a normal night then!No ,that was the cost of two pints.

I was on a packed tram coming home from work and was one of only a handful of sober travellers, drunk as skunks they all were shouting away at whoever would listen.I was in a pub in London this evening and it was like new years eve.
On top of that, we will be able to do it on Wednesday and likely not again come the weekend. What I honestly dont understand is, I can walk down to my local pub. Or shop. They'll be open as normal. I can also walk down to my local town hall and sign a book of condolences Or leave flowers
But standing in a football stadium and singing the National Anthem and observing a 2 minutes applause or silence in memorium is cancelled. At a time when a divided country needs uniting the most and sport has that affecf (see: London 2012, which the Queen was proud to be part of), its utterly absurd.
It's an essential public service Ric. Entertainment for most, but much-needed therapy for many!Tempted to, if only to have a break from some of the incessant arguing/culture war nonsense.
He's clearly a sky sports employee. You were looking up rimjobs?
I also think would have been a good opportunity for people to be able to show respect across the country. Every football ground would have been full of people singing(if they chose to) the national ahthem. What I honestly dont understand is, I can walk down to my local pub. Or shop. They'll be open as normal. I can also walk down to my local town hall and sign a book of condolences Or leave flowers

It’s completely nonsensical when you think about it rationally. What I honestly dont understand is, I can walk down to my local pub. Or shop. They'll be open as normal. I can also walk down to my local town hall and sign a book of condolences Or leave flowers

About the Queen?I was on a packed tram coming home from work and was one of only a handful of sober travellers, drunk as skunks they all were shouting away at whoever would listen.
I watched the first half, did it go off air in the second? Switched over to Girona. Was going to watch the live French game tonight on BT, took it off air and treated us to Aus v NZ cricket! Bizarre.
we really need to start using the word 'football' instead of 'sport' now (although cycling folded early as well).
i hope your show goes well, what is it?
I was a fan of Liz. Good fucking Queen who we maybe took for granted. She held the monarchy together and it'll be interesting to see where we go from here - can Charles III hold it together?Went to my local in town tonight for my usual Friday night Karaoke and it wasn't on. The landlord said, 'We're not doing it tonight because of the Queen." I asked why he hadn't shut the pub then? He didn't answer.
Well, in fairness, he may have said something, but, in the stunned silence that followed my question, I fucked off out of there, sharpish - no way I was wasting money on a pint there - and went down the road where the pub had a band on. They were shit - not a patch on my Karaoke performances - but it's bad enough having no City without having no Friday night Karaoke.
I had great respect and affection for H.M. but, mourning? Fuck off! She was 96 and had the greatest ever fuckin' life, probably Karaokeing most nights, for all I know.
Football apart she would be fucking livid that the racing has been cancelled!!I was a fan of Liz. Good fucking Queen who we maybe took for granted. She held the monarchy together and it'll be interesting to see where we go from here - can Charles III hold it together?
However I can't see why us v Spurs makes a difference. I'm sure Her Maj would have loved to see Haaland v Kane.....
Sounds like a Rag defeat coming form Trafford Park.I was on a packed tram coming home from work and was one of only a handful of sober travellers, drunk as skunks they all were shouting away at whoever would listen.
Ha ha, brilliant, you’re so rightWent to my local in town tonight for my usual Friday night Karaoke and it wasn't on. The landlord said, 'We're not doing it tonight because of the Queen." I asked why he hadn't shut the pub then? He didn't answer.
