Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

You do realise we (Everton) are playing and at home so bigger scouse crowd. I get you obviously hate us but at least throw your accusations around based on facts mate

lost all respect to the blue nose scouse after the joleon lescott move to city and you lot give him and us murder
the lad was only moving for a better chance at silverware and titles

The whining they did when the game was called off during the pandemic (not by us, either) turned me against them. Are they as bad as their neighbours? No, of course not. But they did themselves no favours during that episode. Banging on about being kept informed. Jesus.

It left a sour taste that one as Lescott downed tools and Hughes was giving it the big one if I remember. Then Moyes waded in and it turned ugly. There was a lack of class around that move, something you would never see City doing now. Plus you didnt see any issue with Stones..... or Rodwell (remember him?).

We have been some of your biggest supporters the last few years as there has only been you standing in the way of that lot and Silverware - making them even more unbearable.

The police generally see football as a nuisance so any opportunity to not have to police it is going to be taken.

Always 2 sides and we see it from a different perspective, but it made the game have a bit of a grudge about it for a few years (plus you kept on beating us which did not help).

As you say I think different people in key positions has made relationship a lot different. I even remember seeing Everton fans (albeit not all) celebrating Dzeko goals against Everton when it was us or Liverpool for the title.

Personally, I always liked Everton felt we where similar with the same issues of having illustrious neighbours with a superiority complex (although ours as changed somewhat in the last decade).

I can understand police availability being an issue at the weekend games. Finding it hard to see how the Arsenal EL game 4 days before the funeral can be called off due to insufficient availability of police, though.

Think it’s the prospect of 3,000 pissed up Dutch running round London anytime this week that has put paid to that one.

Of course your comment speaks directly to what my wife is responsible for, with the greatest of respect I will trust what she does rather than some random Karen on Bluemoon!
Well I wouldn't. It is well known the we are experts on all matters.
Financial, deffo insurance, marital ? Huh piece of piss. Spelling and apostophiz' no problem, covid Ukraine and politics done before breakfast.
There isn't a topic we don't know about, well maybe women but hell who does.

I can’t help but feel this out pouring of grief that is being projected around the world is part of a bigger thing.

We all know the royal family is part of ‘brand’ Great Britain. Let’s face it, people travel here to see Buckingham Palace and the idea of the Queen is an almost Disney like treasure to people.

I’m out the country for a week in Greece and the first thing that was mentioned to us on arrival at the hotel was the queen…

If Britain as a whole is not seen by the rest of the world to value the passing of such a figure with a mental outpouring of grief then it devalues the whole thing. If we don’t care then why should anybody else?

We’ve lost pretty much everything of our own identity thanks to the tory party / brexit over the last decade, and are largely an international laughing stock.

The Queen is / was one of the last part of this countries identity that remained intact.

For what it’s worth, i think the whole thing is laughably ridiculous, a hilarious sign of the times of morons trying to out ‘grieve’ one another publicly. Almost North Korea levels of mourning.

Fair points.
