Why does the football fan, spectator or young kid playing, have to be inconvenienced and not other sport participants, are the theatres or cinemas or other activities inconvenienced?I understand that some people don't like the royals and us being a monachist state, however this is what our country is and so the people have to accept this decision.
We are not just talking about a 96 year woman, we are talking about The Queen!
Queen Elizabeth II, the longest living British monarch!
This is major news, front page news, not just here but in every country around the World! Flags are half mast in the USA for example and they even had a minute silence in last night's NFL game and the US Open.
All you have to do is look at the huge crowds who are out in London, Windsor and Balmoral. The people who have sent their condolences, world leaders, people who are well known and who are and have been top of their profession.
No other person in the world would have received that level of response from people, no one! and just wait until it's her funeral.
I know we all love watching City and football, and this is an inconvenience for some, but an event like the Queen dying is unprecedented and will take preference in this country, and rightly so, and like it or not, everyone has to live with it.
The football authorities were happy to kowtow to this pampered family hoping it would get them an honor
Yes she lived to 96 came on the throne young, following her father's untimely death, that's not the achievement that it portrayed, afterall people who haven't lived a life of privilege and wealth born before her are still alive
The same people in the "huge crowds" who were only too happy to condemn the same family for the treatment of their "people's princess" It a XFactor culture we live in
