Did you hear any ? Was it just the noise of people arriving late?
Was it deffo City fans ?
Having read all the comments, I've just watched the match highlights (again) on the club website.
The first thing that strikes me is that the cameras are placed at the top of their main stand - directly opposite where the City fans were located. Presumably, the microphones would have picked up any background noise from the stand the cameras were situated in the first instance, and any other noises from around the ground. Amazing that the background noises during the "silence" were attributed to fans on the other side of the pitch by the BBC "reporter".
In fact, you can't hear any noise during the silence on the club video.
Very strange.

I was in the away stand near the end we were attacking in the first half. There was singing coming from the away concourse at the start of the minutes silence, which I guess lasted about 10 seconds. Whether the announcement could be heard on the concourse I dunno, but someone obviously had a word for it to stop. Didn't hear anything from the stand apart from ' shushing' .
The away concourse at any game is always more raucous than the home.
Whenever there's a minutes silence at work (for bombing victims etc) there always seems to be one person blathering away on the phone. Doesn't make them disrespectful, just wrapped up in what they are doing and oblivious to what's going on around them.

Daily Mail sport's page, Spurs v Leicester, Newcastle v Bournemouth, Dortmund v Schalke, Burnley v Bristol City. City's win at Wolves- nothing, just a brief reference to the Collin's sending off.

Exactly. People not aware of what's going on at that particular time doesn't mean they are disrespectful. Actually booing the minutes silence know full well what they are doing is. Like the dippers

Talking of intellectually challenged, I just switched the telly on and before I could change channels I heard Alex Scott posing the question 'How does he fit in?' I thought this moronic comment must be about Haarland, and sure enough it was. Have they not watched the opening games? He fits like my hand fits into my glove? The question they should be posing is "How phenomenal is it that Haarland has fitted in so well, so clearly and so soon?' Watch the website - Eleven in seven!
Ah but not enough touches.

The only noise I could hear came from the concourse by the adolescent pissheads. But then they are normally still there by half time.

Because he and his miserable twat of a wife are media whores.
The pair of them would attend the opening of a letter if it meant exposure.

I take it you don't want a knighthood, some do, please allow them to do whatever is neccasary to achieve this goal.
The Beckham circus reminds me of the long running joke in Spitting Image, about that dreadful old ham Donald Sinden , begging the queen for a knighthood

@Eccles Blue will be after you for saying that.
I was very tempted but thought (s)he might come back with I’ve missed an apostrophe! But if I thought for even a fraction of a second he was referring to John Boy (s)he would be walking very gingerly now, possibly with a broken ankle! Not that I believe in violence but I could make an exception in this person’s case. :-)

Great!

The more they ignore us the better we're doing.

Hopefully we won't hear a peep out of the Mail for the rest of the season.
