Another easy 5k this morning in pouring rain as my 2nd post COVID outing. Pre COVID was thinking of entering Hampton court palace 10k in middle of November but not sure I'd enjoy it way I feel at moment. Decided to potentially run their HM in March instead

I'm pleased to have got 50 miles in this week. I'm on a mission to train well this winter and lose a few kilogrammes. I would love to be aiming for PBs in the spring but we will see...
Try that 75 day thing. I'm thinking of giving it a go in the new year, and then maybe apply for a HM on the back of it.

Tell me more!
@gaz76 posted this on 14 October. Some of it looks a bit weird, like the gallon of water a day. 90 minutes of exercise every day looks challenging. But I always feel more motivated with difficult challenges like this, so I'm tempted to give it a try in the new year.

5k before work this morning. Been talking myself out of going out since Friday. Friday morning had hangover after work party on Thursday night. Saturday, Sunday, Monday mornings oh it's too wet, too windy, I'll go later, don't have time the little voices in my head kept saying. This morning got up and out at 7.30. It was wet, it was windy, it was also wonderful and a challenge and great and I loved it.

nice! you can beat that 30!

Didn't think I'd get so far so quickly to be honest. Only started couch to 5k in February having not run since I left school 35 years ago. On Saturday I'll be doing my 25th Parkrun & I can feel constant improvements all the time.
Already considering my next target once I get sub 30 minutes, which will be gradually ramping up from 5k to 10k runs.

Kudos to those running before work.
I struggle with morning (I'm a night person for sure) but I am contemplating going for a swim before I start.
Even park runs I'm rusty as hell before my body wakes up.

Few days back into running after a couple of weeks off with a bug.
Did Park Run on Saturday, running club on Monday eve and a 5/6k last night. All really tough. Haven't broken the seal yet. Not finding it easy atm. Also started back on light weights at the gym after injuring my arm many months ago.
Funny how time off from training makes the return tough (muscles aching from lifting, legs from running).

Also, I forgot my shorts on Tuesday evening so had to do Yoga in heavy denim jeans....now that's tough!

It’s sometimes just nice to get it out the way with! Longer the day goes on the more I find I can’t be arsed
