This kind of sums up the wider issue (quotes from PA Media article) - the hubris, complacency and lack of planning:

Ronaldo said: “I don’t know what is going on but since Sir Alex Ferguson left I saw no evolution in the club, the progress was zero.

“For example, we have an interesting point that how the club as Manchester United after (they) sack Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer), they buy – they bring (in), sports director Ralf Rangnick, which is something that nobody understands.

“This guy is not even a coach. A bigger club like Manchester United brings (a) sports director – surprised not only me but all the world, you know.

“Nothing changed. Surprisingly. Not only the pool, the jacuzzi, even the gym … Even some points, the technology, the kitchen, the chefs, which is, I appreciate, lovely persons.

“They stopped in a time, which surprised me a lot. I thought I will see different things … different, as I mentioned before, technology, infrastructure. But unfortunately, we see many things that I used to see when I was 20, 21, 23. So, it surprised me a lot.”https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-sheriff-tirasopol-europa-league-match-report
He is a world class level prat but he is spot on about some points. The standards at that shithole of a club have fallen way way below par.

Absolutely no way. I’m not having that but so funny if true.
Why not ? The story goes that some thick bastard walked into a dressing room and simply showed them his world cup medal. Olly had no real experience to be a PL manager so I can see him doing it.

For all the justified laughing we've done at their expense so far this season, how are they just 6 points behind us and had a much harder fixture list?
They are in the mix that’s for sure. They’ve gone about the business quietly and getting some impressive results.
Whilst some of their results might look ''impressive'' virtually all their league wins have been by one goal and their performances and standard of football has been as dire as ever.

After the first 2 games of the season Ten Hag abandoned his supposed philosophy of playing attractive, free flowing possession based football and resorted to the tactics of Mourinho and Solskjaer... park the bus and hoof it upfield for the fast lads upfront to nick a goal on the break well against the run of play.

The favourable officiating for them is as bad as ever, both the blatant game changing decisions and the constant low level favouritism and leniency they receive throughout the whole match, the munchkin CB in particular is proving to be just as dirty and niggly as I expected him to be but gets away with constant fouls week in week out.

Given Ten Hag has spent getting on for a quarter of a billion in one transfer window I'd expect some improvement, they're now just an expensive and more effective version of 1990's Wimbledon.

Well they have another year of him unless they pay him of! They can fine him the max for that interview but not sack him!

What gets me with his attitude and arrogance is which over club in Europe all want him around there club!?

Oh the scum have an option of another year! [emoji38]

Some kid scored for Man Utd. So naturally he has a full article about him on the BBC Sport website.
Listened to yesterday’s 606 on my way to work this morning, good lord, the absolute love in for their new guy Gazpacho or whatever his name is was sickening, it reminds me of the other world beaters like Adnod Jizzy Jazzy and Macarena they had.

Wonder whatever happened to them?
