That’s 5 on the spin we’ve won now and Shaw has been a great signing. After losing the first two we have bounced back admirably and are in with a decent shout of a title push. I think it’s time Gareth Taylor was cut a bit of slack and we get behind him and the team for the rest of the season. We can do it!

Good post except for the bit about Taylor — get rid now!

We are on a run but we genuinely struggled against a bang average Everton. Watching the Rags they look far more cohesive than we do - As in previous seasons we rely on individual talent rather than collective effort…. I honestly think a better coach would get more out of that team.

The Rags looked a better side than us yesterday.

Toone is absolute quality.

I agree, she is a very good player. They recruited their manager well after Stoney left, he may come across as a bit of a pratt but he appears to know what he is doing. City just went down the establishment route and inserted a fairly dull figure, probably because he was just there. I can't believe they did much research as to who was the best manager to get.

If they had, doubt that GareTh Taylor would have been in that list.

A most uninspiring choice for a club like City, unless they aren't really bothered about the Women's team so long as they are up near the top of the table.

I know that this is petty, but why would any parent lumber their daughter with a christian name like Missy Bo ( Liverpool WFC player ) ?

Only a fucking dipper fan surely as she is a local player .

Can't vouch for the accuracy of the claim, as nothing changed, but there is a claim that the Juventus Women's Team coach was approached by City to take charge of the team. Apparently has a contract until 2024.

Perhaps the club are not satisfied, along with lots of the supporters, with the performances of the girls with Gareth Taylor at the helm.

Maybe he is only there until a better replacement becomes available ?

A quick trip around Asda on a busy afternoon could net a stronger coach than Taylor - so he’s in trouble.

my mistake - my enthusiasm for the possibility of seeing the back of Taylor had obviously confused my brain .
I guess the fact that the club is at least looking for a sporting director recognises the fact that Taylor has many limitations - whoever comes in will probably make Gareth very uneasy about his future. I've said all along that the recruitment to replace an ageing, stale squad has been pretty decent they just need a more progressive coach.

To be fair to Taylor & his staff they seem to be just about buying into his methods & are getting better as a unit - however for me, to make the next step they need a much better coach.

Just watching the Rags vs Villa coverage - taking sycophantic coverage to a whole new level…. If MUTV were covering it it would probably be more balanced.
