funny thing is, they don't see it ? money is not the reason and the Glazer have given united managers since Fergie over a £billion on players, they have spent more than any other club in the Premier League, so what différance will more money make to them,

football is about a time period and making last as long as you can before somebody else takes over, united have had their glory years were from the early 1990s to the 2010s and nothing will bring it back
it's also about having winning managers in charge like Van Gaal, mourinho and Ralf

oh hang on lol

Probably already discussed and dismissed however the Chinese group that had shares with City have sold most of them off.

Possibly because of an interest in utd?

It's easy to blame the Glazers, but they will never change, the rags fans it's all about glory and being labeled the biggest and best and winning every season and being judged on Fergie or players from the class of 1992,

Them days have gone for good, the Premier League is now a competitive league of 6 or 7 teams, then we have Manchester City top dogs, NO amount of money can build instant success any more, you need time and very good foundations with fans understanding,

the loonies over the road still think they only have to turn up and show the badge and others roll over and shit themselves,

Yeah that's the slight worry that IF someone comes in and they have even the faintest idea of how to set foundations & run a club with a plan that doesn't change by the week then they may actually improve.

That does still happen for them against plenty of clubs sadly

that's true, but like I said it's not just a 2 horse race any more and 6 or 7 teams are now better than them,
the one team that will be the next challenge to Manchester city will be Newcastle, man united will be looking up for a lot more years rather than being the top dogs,

it's never too good building on old foundations, the restrictions in that is the old ones are still in place
you see in the path of time when clubs have a time period that nobody could touch them, they forget time keeps ticking over and the rest catches up with a new idea and blows them away,

but they never understand how somebody can be above them and better, they try to be that club even copy them,
but it never works out, because the old setup and the people that were involved in the system are still around judging the new,

They probably will improve...it really couldn't get worse/ better than the comical shit show of the last 10 years.

However, CITY & others will also improve but from a stronger & higher base.

We'll take some emulating with our structure and strategy.

That’s the main point.

City in football, infrastructure, momentum and finance are far ahead of Trafford.

Trafford have been stagnant in terms of football, infrastructure, momentum and finance in the past 10+ years.

To catch up with City version 2022 by Trafford will take a long time, serious amounts of decent executive management, investment in infrastructure, better buying of cheaper & younger players, banning of the looming shadow of the past and serious amounts of pain.

But that presumes City stays at 2022 level, which is unlikely in the next 2.5 years with Pep… and then who knows where City’s rising level will be after that.

I’ve said it for almost a decade now, United need to do so much, just to stand still, Ten Hag might be the 1st part of a potential rise, but then again, theyve had many managers who were similar (albeit completely different styles of play!)… and nothing else changed with them… not the infrastructure, not the management , not the looming shadow, not the paying out the most on players, not the stagnated commercial income…. It’s a long long way back to their utter contrived dominance.

Video footage of the violence towards GMP at the start and during the protests. Loads of bottles being thrown at GMP officers.

For some reason, only GMP know why, GMP TAG(helmets, body armour, shields, etc) weren’t deployed before or during the demonstration.

Note: ’Some’ Man Utd fans.(BBC News at it’s best)

That footage is pretty bad. When you think the game was abandoned after the stadium was invaded it seems incredible that the no action has been taken against the club. Other clubs are punished when their fans misbehave. All the worst violence seemed to happen in and around the stadium itself, not on a street miles away, so the club must bear some responsibility.

The game was postponed not abandoned.

But yes the rags have twice failed to fulfill a fixture (the alleged bomb scare v Bournemouth too) with no action taken at all

My latest view from reading the caf.

Most of them are OK with being bought by an Arab state as "it's the only way for them to catch up"

I wonder how they think we could have caught up to them in 2008 without the takeover?
It's the same.premise as 'you have to be a **** because everyone else is'.
