Lacking options up top them when things resume? Sancho hasn’t got the stomach for it, Ronaldo has been fucked off, not allowed to talk about Greenwood due to legal reasons. So that leaves them with Wythenshawe Mbappe, that Brazilian that does too many step overs and their new great hope for the 2nd coming of George Best. Lovely stuff.
Just wait till next week when they play Burnley in the league cup. He'll play 5-6 youngsters and the next morning they'll all be labelled as the next

Beckham
Best
Scholes
Keane
Ferdinand
Rooney

Absolutely guaranteed

The u21’s lost 4-0 to Bolton in the EFL trophy last night - dire according to their fans.
I looked further at the u21 results for season, they’ve won 3 or 4 games in total, serious amounts of draws and quite a few drubbings across PL2, EFL trophy and a European competition…

I thought their youth was bad at the time of Rashford only getting a promotion due to 1st team squad injuries, but it appears there’s still some depths to reach.

As a young player you have a break and not to keep fit is unforgivable! I have feeling the lad doesn’t love football because if that was foden he’d be fit ready to go! Sancho will become another top quality young player who got over hyped by the media because he plays for there team! At Dortmund Sancho had that drive because he new he had a target of performing week in week out so his ambition to get a move to a top club on mega wages! His dream come true 6 year contract in 359k week! All motivation gone and when he started playing in the premier he realised he ain’t that good! Dropped from the team dropped from England l!

It’s up to him now to get the drive hunger back personally don’t think he has it and pep new!

Do you remember when you were young and you woke up after a very heavy night with a female version of Bernard Manning snoring next to you. You then proceeded to drop your head into your hands and mutter 'What the fuck have I done'

Well that's Jaded, every single day since he signed the contract.

Many could see this coming and it isn't a surprise. Has ten hag thrown him under the bus by telling the world?
File with wan bissaka, Maguire, Ronaldo, van de beek, martial, pogba as overpriced panic buys, how much money wasted!!
By no means enough, as of yet. Keep spending.

Dials the Time Machine clock back…

‘You can spend as much as you want, but you’ll never be successful, you can’t buy class, it’s just something some clubs have…’

Oh.

Similar to the point made by another poster somewhere
It was
‘Money doesn’t buy success’
Now its
‘Money is the only reason you have success’

You can have all the talent and skills in the world but if your mental attitude isn't there you'll never be a top level footballer.

Pep saw this 6 years ago and was happy for him to leave
Except that isn't what happened.

City put a deal on the table that would have made him the best paid teenager ever at the club. He decided to leave anyway as we wouldn't/couldn't guarantee game time.

Strangely enough he was lauded for being strong enough mentally to take that option which makes his state of mind now all the more sad.

Personally I feel sorry for the lad and hope he gets sorted sooner rather than later. A move elsewhere would probably be a good starting point but given how much they were rinsed for, they won't allow him to go cheap and I don't know who would pay up on a gamble.

Don't think anyone can argue that Dortmund the move wasn't a result for him. He got loads of playing time and a massive deal as a result. Just a shame for him the club offering big money was the rags. Every player is taking that money. But its another example of a players career going off the rails by going there. This won't be unnoticed by players.

He's on too much money to leave just yet. Will have to stick it out.

And you know this for a fact? How?

It’s probably already been said, but looks like Sancho might be another Dele Alli. The talent was there, the application and attitude might not be.

Or maybe Sancho just signed for the wrong club for a massive price. If you look at United signings of the past 10 years, there’s very few that you could say was actually successful and gone on to improve. Usually the opposite. There’s obviously something been happening there that’s making potentially good players go backwards.

But as we saw with Dele Alli, once you lose that dedication and motivation, it’s not easy to recapture it no matter how many new managers coming, or what moves you make to different clubs.

Some footballers are just purely dedicated to it, no matter how comfortable their situation is. But I can understand how some young players like Sancho could have one eye on wanting to dedicate themselves and get themselves back in a good position, and then one eye slightly on their bank balance and thinking “well how much does it matter anymore?” - I think it’s only human nature that this mentality will also appear in some players.

I know reporters will have asked why Sancho wasn't with the team in Spain, but for Ten Bob to throw him under the bus like that was a disgrace. He could have said he was injured and doing remedial 1 to 1 training, not basically say his heads fucked and he's lazy.

Very poor.
The United Way ?

Which just goes to show the difference in attitudes between our two clubs. A lot of our players could easily have switched off years ago but they still put in huge effort to achieve.

Haven't City had around £20m for Sancho. A player who didn't sign a professional contract with the club.

I know it was a good move to go to Dortmund, but even now to a certain extent and certainly more so back then, any player or agent would have to have doubts about going there. There have been so many examples recently of players going there and crashing their careers. I suppose it's not a crime to want even more money.
Like a lot before him, he is stuck there now and will take 18 months to get away.
