Rafael Leao

Yep. Mahrez ain't getting any younger and Foden and Grealish are better centrally.
Mahrez plays on right? And when have Foden and Grealish played centrally regularly? Not much. If they play well centrally then we don't need Bellingham of both Foden and Grealish. And question remains is he good enough for City?

He only has 18 months left on his contract and so far has rejected all offers from Milan.
Don't get me wrong I'd love it if he did join, it just seems odd, and it will be expensive even with his contractual situation. He's one of my favourite Serie A players, but he does not seem what you would call a Pep player, he seemed clumsy and quite "green" at the WC. As well, I don't think we're breaking the bank in January with a full midfield revamp needed next summer and that shit would be Dubai level expensive.

I don’t know if his playstyle fits our system and I don’t think trying to adapt it mid season while we are still learning to get the best out of Haaland is a good idea. Summer, absolutely. Winter, wary

Do we need a Left winger?
We currently have Foden and Grealish for that position. Cole Palmer was excellent against Liverpool there last week n’all.

We need a left back not a left winger, really.

But Leao looks a proper talent, albeit a diving bastard, and we can easily move Foden into midfield to replace Gundogan long term (which I’d rather do than sing Bellingham for so much money). So it’d be Leao and Grealish for the left wing.

Our midfield needs some minor surgery in the summer and this signing would indicate to me that Foden or Grealish (probably Foden) would be moving into the middle of the park as part of that

I guess I’m missing something then as I just don’t see this amazing player some mention? Cracking goal at the World Cup mind but I don’t see this £80-100m player at all.

Jack isn't a 100 million pound player either but we payed it, Grealish doesn't have the goals and assists numbers Leao has that's why he's an upgrade the guy knows how to put the ball in the net.
