nah not true disagree. many coaches in grassroot or even some pundits can understand tactics as good as or even better than top most coaches. the difference is managing or coaching a team is not only about tactics. in that sense pep is the best manager/coach in the business. but to say he understands tactics better than anyone at all times is not true. many people on the outside of football can analyze the game better than pep I bet.
Hahaha! Nice one. Hang on, you're being serious?

It's the "We decided to play a line-up that adapts to their line-up " that worries me. Totally cocked our team up and got it all wrong for the sake of a bang average chelsea team. At least he made changes this time instead of sitting there stubbornly watching something that isn't working until the 89th minute, but if that quote's anything to go off then it feels like it's only a matter of time before he shits himself in the champions league again and does something that completely defies all logic and gets us knocked out.

I mean ok yea fair enough to be wary of the other team and make a few adjustments or whatever, but surely not to the extent where it totally handicaps your own team like it did last night. Made little or no sense but luckily in this instance it didn't cost us

As it is we got the points but some tough games coming up and it's time to stop fucking about

What they supposed to do then ring a club chairman and ask for a meeting so they can demonstrate their tactical knowledge?
If I really believed I understood tactic and football better than Guardiola, I think I'd be puuting my name forward and trying to get a job in the game. Not just sitting on bluemoon telling you lot where he's going wrong. So yes I think they'd be involved in the game and working their way up the ladder at some level.

I’m not disputing in the majority of cases you’re right. Just don’t think there aren’t people in all walks of life who could be brilliant at something but for one reason or another never get the chance to have a proper crack at it.

Yes thats fair, but there are few in the game that can match Pep so outside the game and without his experience and knowledge of players ability within the tactics there will be a tiny number at best.
Not to mention his experience of managing squads and egos and high pressure over a long season, that experience is impossible to replicate, though to be fair with the experience part thats not what was being talked about.

Well, no. I think one of Pep's greatest attributes is that he is truly exceptional at analysing football matches. His understanding is insanely good. He's one of the elite in that regard.

Samething happened in the UCL final against Chelsea.

What a view - "apply for the job if you've got anything to say or comment upon."
Going to be a lot of applications to be news editors, politicians, doctors, police......... or just be allowed to make fair comment on something that interests you.

Not what I said or even remotely like what I said.

I wouldn't call it one of his weaknesses as his style of play doesn't rely on it but the truth is Grealish has zero pace.
Wouldn’t say zero pace. If he played in midfield he’d probably look reasonably quick on counters like KDB can do. Wide against quick fullbacks he looks like he has very little and doesn’t have that 10 yard burst either that Foden used to show.

Kdb is actually fast. Jack isn't. It would be like trying to start a counter with Gundo. I don't see it happening

That’s where i disagree. Gundo has zero pace and KDB when played wide under Pellers didn’t look quick. If you watched Grealish leading counters down the middle for Villa i don’t think many would say he had zero pace. Always going to be difficult for someone one footed hugging the touch line most games without genuine pace though.
