Arsenal (H) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Yes but not having the same deep and experienced squad like you guys means our expectations are more realistic.
Stop with the deeper squad bullshit….every team has the same size squad….for a team that spends a shit load of money on players, how/why do you feel your squad is not as deep?

I'm not going to debate this with anyone. Silva is a better option than this Gundogan or DeBruyne....If you don't agree I'm not the one who is going to try and convince you or anybody else. If you believe KDB and Gundo have been good then God bless.
I agree about KDB and Gundogan (who I believe should not be offered a new contract at this stage of his career) - both were/have been poor over recent weeks but I still struggle to see why Bernardo is lauded on his performances this season either. A good option to bring on to see out this game nonetheless.

Two gooners , one rag and matterface is just a **** , not a blue in sight , a disgrace from itv
Matterface: 56000 in the Etihad tonight, which of course is roughly half the population of Preston, who last won this competition in 1938, incidentally the same year that Germany invaded Austria, who did not make this years world cup that some say interefered with Man City's fluency in the league this season. Oh yeah, theres a match on now and Grealish has just won a corner.

Great block from Ruben Dias.

Arsenal we’re the better side 1st half, we adjusted and limited them to fuck all 2nd half, and won the tie, for a big club, they went full small time, claiming Last night as some moral victory because they rotated their side, like it has some kind of bearing as to what will happen in the future

Who are you expecting to call it out?
The club need to start to influence the media more. The best team in the league for the last decade and they can’t find an ex city player to co host…..really??

Doesnt The viewer deserve to hear a balanced analysis or do we have to look to Keane, Dixon, others for that and hope they can be impartial ?

Its not rocket science and it’s the minimum we should expect.

Yep, predictable WWYWYWS… short memories as a few years ago the Emirates had thousands of empty seats for some games (when they were utter shit).

One of the worst sets of supporters in the league. The way they treated Wenger, the way they treated Emery. Lockdown was the best thing that happened to them and West Ham, because the atmosphere was toxic before then and both clubs turned it around in empty stadiums.

A game that sticks in my mind was our away win in 2018, a few days after we'd beaten them in the League Cup final. For those that like empty seats they'd have loved the arsenal attendance that night, they stayed away in their thousands. Bearing in mind they'd got to a cup final and were in European places at the time, not exactly relegation form. If they ever hit actual bad times they'll be nowhere to be seen and they know it.

Not really. We are not a team ready to contend in multiple competitions not one booky thought we would have a chance to even compete for league title. The fact that a lot of your fans are making a big deal out of a 4th round cup tie at home tells me that we are doing the right things. You guys should not be so happy about a home FA cup win over a team you beat like 20 times in a row
Personally speaking, explain to me why I shouldn't be happy after a win?

I've not been happy with our performances this season. We're a team in transition, whilst still trying to compete. It's like trying to change your running spikes midway through a track race.

However, a win's a win & I'm ecstatic with last night's win, as I am with ALL victories, albeit I'm not happy with our performance again.

If Arsenal weren't arsed about winning last night, why not go the whole hog & play your U21's?

You started with a strong team & brought on all your rested players late on to force an equaliser. Why do that if losing last night meant nothing?

You know as well as we do that the match was eagerly awaited for a multitude of reasons... Arteta, Jesus, Zinchenko, Arsenal Challenging for the title & City being their nearest challengers.

Question: Would you rather have won or lost last night?

Win you claim you've put down a marker & bazooka'd a title shot across our bows.

Lose & you claim it was an understrength team & you weren't arsed about winning because your concentration is on the title race.

HOWEVER, you're so not arsed about last night's loss, that you felt the need to come onto an opposition fans' forum to tell us all...

I remember Arsenal declaring the attendance to be 60,000 like always because it was based on tickets sold rather than arses on seats. Very funny.

I like you.

A win is a win and I’m happy we are through.
Not going to be many of the Top Ten in the next round.
Can’t see Spurs, Fulham or the Rags slipping up but I think there could be a huge upset at Brighton where the Dippers could edge it.
No Brentford or Wigan to worry about either.
Gotta love this club !

The media are giving them a moral victory pass as they rotated, something the press pigs didn’t afford us after Southampton, or even after Pellegrini played our U12s at Chelsea in the FA cup all those years ago. They celebrated our demise with glee and the no excuses line
