PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It is a Witch Hunt, end of story.
As a previous poster said very apt, this is a case of "throw a load of shit at us and hope some will stick".
Where were these bastard when Rags etc were all doing those shady behind the scenes deals with Agents and paying off third parties who actually owned the players, millions going out of the game. Didn't give a fuck then. Even though it was illegal .Big Clubs giving families sweetener's etc. Real full on endemic corruption in the game.
They brought all these rules out specifically to destroy us. And that is what they are trying to do.
White American spends half a billion, hardly a peep in MSM.
If our Arab owners had spent that. We would have never herd the end of it. Chelsea Circumventing FFP by amortising contracts over 7 years, We had done this, all Hell would have been let lose. "Circumventing FFP etc"

I have no doubt this will ultimately end in the High Court. And seen for what it was a malicious, vindictive Witch Hunt by jealous Clubs.

the charges are that City knowlingly concealed payments to managers and players and hid this information from the league and by association hid this from accountants and auditors.
The charges also say we inflated our profits.
These are serious financial crime allegations. If there was truth to it then there would be serious investigations by government agencies?

We cooperated fully with CAS. The original UEFA investigation was supposed to confidential and they were leaking stuff to certain scribblers in the cabal, who were obviously putting spin on it. We told CAS we were not going to supply anything to those corrupt bastards and they understood our reasons. At this point we stopped cooperating with UEFA and waited for the CAS hearing. We were guilty of non cooperating - they were guilty of breaching the investigation conditions - the same will happen again. I suppose. I thought all this was reported at the time?

IF they had something on us from 2009 ( or slightly more recently even), then why have they waited a decade for this?
Has any new 'evidence' miraculously appeared?
If not and they've had evidence of our wrongdoing for a long time, wouldn't they be duty bound to do something about it at the time rather than just carry on as if nothing was going on? Firstly to protect other clubs and secondly so we could address anything we were doing wrong and correct ourselves?

We really are the cash cow for the media and world football aren't we. It's been a payday for all of them again today hasn't it. One thing is for sure though, I have complete confidence and faith is our structure, model and ownership to get us through this once again.

The uk media have had a hate campaign against us for well over 10 years now. This latest thing, although out of the blue, isn't surprising in a way, as it's been every year for as long as i can remember, but i really do believe it is racially motivated and the cheerleaders are the yanks at the red gobshites without a shadow of doubt.
This is all about timing. And they have absolutely dropped a huge bollock going after us.

I thought that when we beat Newcastle in 76 and finished runners up to the dippers in 77 iy would always be like that.As another poster said though prem football is big business Dippers,Arsenal and Everton would have failed so called ffp if they had qualified for europe.Corruption is rife as anyone who can see with var its bent.Webb even said Ratboys goal would be disallowed now.Scudamore we need a new winner every few years not good for business utd being shit.

Sky Sports have the finance expert saying he doesn’t expect anything this season and that exclusion would be very extreme and very unlikely. He also doesn’t think stripping titles is at all likely and punishments for the future are much more likely.
