PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Well, here we go again. Innocent till proven guilty is my take.

However, wouldn't be arsed in the slightest if worst comes to worse, city have been here before.

Good thing about this is that all the plastics will shift to Newcastle. Half of the twitter fanbase are supporting us for vanity purposes anyway

I really hope during this shit show city start unravelling a few secrets of there own about the prem league, United, Liverpool etc. We are accused of inflating sponsorship but given what's just happened with juventus does anybody believe coutinho really cost barca 140mil. Around the time of ffp starting does anybody believe uniteds nike deal at around 20 mil a season jumped to 75 mil with Adidas, similar with Liverpool warrior deal. Chelsea selling Luiz for 50 mil when he was a total liability. Its not obvious to other fans but its clearly obvious to us, since pretty much buying tevez there has been an orchestrated which hunt against us driven by United, Liverpool and arsenal. Controlling the media, inventing and changing rules, referee decisions in our games against them. The media always say city fans wear tin foil hats, maybe we do at times but this is clear as day that the prem league is run by those 3 clubs and that's the way its going to be. If city get taken to the cleaners then we should bring down whoever we can.

Can't bear to listen to any sports media right now. Just curious, does Simon Jordan think we are likely to get expelled or something to that effect?
Does Simon Jordan think his hairstyle for most of his life was a good look. Should tell you everything you need to know about the value of his opinion (unless he thinks we should be cleared, then he's ok).

If these accusations are proved, then ok throw the book, that's fair. But we should shout more about the Cartel and Why this has to be done..Arsenal from 30's paid for Herbert Chapman etc, changed them through money, Edwards..nig money, Littlewoods gambling bank rolling dippers. We need to make it clear that its protectionism. System needs changing, agreed but we cant have it based on revenue as historically it has created a cartel that can't be broken. The prem know this. Why aren'tvwe screaming about it...Ian St John record Brit trf fee, while they were in Div 2 ffs
They've all got where they are due to having money pumped in, the problem is it's historic... Arsenal moved to Highbury for money, Liverpool in the early 60's etc... HOWEVER, this doesn't mean any of them are not guilty of serious financial misdemeanours during the PL era... we all know - as do proper Rags - that Ferguson and United got up to some proper dodgy shit... their transfer dealings for players like Bellion and Bebe to name but two, the incentivees they offered kids families to have their kids join them... etc. etc., but does the hard proof exist?

I think it’s just for the sake of the listeners. They always do it on this channel. He’s always had a beef with our finances. He’s also got a ridiculous haircut.

Spoke to someone I know at the club this morning, and it's certainly allayed my fears a bit. Can't go into too much detail, but the club knew this was coming, even if the timing caught them out a bit, and are confident that we'll be cleared of the most serious charges.
Never mind that Ric - what I want to know is if they've got us bang to rights about ticket allocations to visiting clubs in the 2009-10 season?

He is an arsehole who nearly ruined Palace. Wouldn’t be out of place on GB News!
No idea why anyone listens to that ****. This is a guy who had it all and spunked it away so hard, he is now reduced to being on Talksport with the rest of the down n outs, throwing out insults and outlandish claims to generate callers/revenue. His opinions mean as much to me as next doors cat.

And that is the key,if we going down, bring them with us

I may be in a minority but I also thought City's response was poor. The sarcastic tone was stupid given the situation and will not do us any favours in the long-term. We now have to present our case to an independent panel and the tone we adopt will influence the outcome. A flippant tone is a very bad idea. I would have liked a strong statement which just made it clear that we rejected the allegations and had very strong evidence to disprove them.
If the club are innocent of wrong doing, and can prove it, which they seem so confident about, 'the tone' shouldn't make any difference. In fact after the previous UEFA charges were thrown out, the club can be excused for having an attitude of 'we're done with this shit, the gloves are off!' It may even help the process if eveybody know's City are not messing about.

Does it matter what Simon Jordan thinks? No it doesn’t!
Cannot stand the man. If you look up the word arrogance in the English Oxford dictionary you will see his facing staring back at you.

He would start a debate in an empty room. You can just imagine what he must have been like as a kid at school, the know it all, big head that everyone just thought was an absolute tit.

I guess after CAS the club realise that the non-compliance charges are going to be the PLs sure-fire wins and are not arsed about them?

The club not cooperating with investigation into the past 5 seasons is a bit concerning to be honest.

The only logical reason to cooperate with investigations into 2008-2017 (the period covered by the hack) and not cooperate over 2018-2023 is that the punishment and reputational damage for obstructing the investigation is better than what would be revealed if you did fully cooperate.

No, the facts and arguments will influence the outcome, not the statement released by the club yesterday. That will be long forgotten when the hearing starts in-front of a (unbiased) ‘PL picked commission’.
I am not saying the statement itself would affect the outcome but the overall tone we set through the case is very important. We need to keep well away from all the personal bitterness which fuelled the UEFA case.

Eyebrows have also been raised in regards to the timing of the Premier League’s announcement, given the imminent publication of a white paper by the UK Government relating to an independent footballing regulator.

So here's a question, why dont the PL want football to have an independent regulator!

The PL under the vice like grip of the yank owned clubs have thrown these charges out like a panicked soldier chucking a thrown enemy grenade from the trenches

So much so, that our own club lawyers had to tell the PL that they had worded the allegations incorrectly!

I believe that we will prove our innocence, however i want us to then go for all these bastards that have been party to these attacks - and unfortunately that know means the PL and those in charge are in that line of fire

I have to also question what the end game here actually is? Cos it is the yank owned clubs who are leading this systematic attack on our owners and club.

Is it to get some charges to stick, get us fined and docked points plus maybe a transfer ban that would allow the red shirts to catch up and become the top 3 once more? So they can once again dominate domestically

Or is it the above to get us so far behind that the super league will resurface but will no longer have City included in it?

Whatever it is i am praying that we no longer take the softly softly approach - this is surely it now and the powers at the PL have shown their hand and which mast their colours are nailed to
