European Super League | ECJ rule that UEFA and FIFA acted unlawfully in blocking Super League (p 29)

The inter galactic league?

Those Martians are known to do a bit of sport washing and I find their grounds generally lack atmosphere.

I still find them much more trustworthy and honourable than the slimes at PiGMOL and the PL.

You are Craig David

Charges brought on Monday
City fans arguing on Tuesday
Super league hatched on Wednesday
Planned on Thursday and Friday and Saturday
We get beat by villa on Sunday
Beautiful, can't get that earworm out of my head

There's nothing solid here, no clubs attached no detailed plans, no announcement of it happening.

It's 100% the Super League people seeing the City case in the news and their PR firm trying to say "See! This is why we need a Super League"

it also seems to be an independent management company being noisy - the leagues and UEFA don't seem involved, or not publically.

As you say, it looks like opportunism from A22, who seem to be a media man from Germany.

The more I think about this the more I am leaning towards being in favour. We are not wanted in our current national leagues and we are not wanted in the Champs League either.

The current system is weighted against us in every respect and this would give us more of a footing in world football. As long as the league is a merit based system which any team can qualify for the PL and UEFA can crash and burn in my view.

Can't the plastic 'traditionally successful' teams fuck off into that and leave the rest of us to it in a domestic league?

We'd likely lose our owners and everything that comes with them but to be honest, it wouldn't stop me attending matches home and away.

This race for bigger revenues is depressing.
Much as we are involved in that race, it fuckin stinks doesnt it

This is all a ploy coming from the Spanish and Italian clubs. There's no money in their leagues but they need to keep finding income.

If it wasn't for the Champions League money then the likes of Barcelona would of gone bust however they're being threatened massively by their poor performance and lack of investment because you get paid based upon where you finish. Barcelona didn't even get through the groups this year or last year so that will be £millions lost.

It's no wonder they their own league because they'll make the rules and the rule will be you get more despite being crap. You can also bet they'll ensure that these big clubs get in automatically via 'coefficients' or something regardless of their performance.

The Champions League have already caved to pressure and will do this in a few years where wildcard clubs with high coefficients will get in no matter where they finish in their leagues, it's all about the money!

I don't think City will benefit or be greatly bothered, we just can't afford not to be part of the gang and that's why we were panicked into participation last time, and probably again this time.

Not arsed with it and as soon as the new chumps league with extra games comes in, 2024/5 season? I'll be sacking that off as well.

Hit City on the Monday to make them look dodgy. Announce new league with new financial rules on the Thursday…

It was a set up.

The hope is that fans will want in to protect their club from the financially evil City.

What‘s the difference between a sponsorship deal, say £100m from DHL to sponsor training kit, and a ‘capital injection’?

Does football related revenue just mean income from spectators and player sales, or does it include club branded official noodle sponsors in Korea?

Also, will clubs be allowed to have, say £400m of debt against their name.

I assume the idea of this is to have one of Real Madrid, Barcelona and rag shit winning the title every year, and games against scousers, chavs, Milan, Atletico, etc just to pretend it’s competitive and generate more ’football related’ revenue for Real, Barca and rag shit, so they can get even further ahead of everyone else?
