Thanks. As it would involve getting into bed with the very clubs that tried to screw us with UEFA. and some that I have no doubt are behind the EPL charges. It's a big fat no from me.Yes, sounds like it.
I’m convinced they are that arrogant they think they own football as a business. They actually narcissisticly believe they are the rulers of the game because they have won a few trophies.Yeah! Those poor clubs with glorious European traditions can no longer win and dominate. Poor bastards.
Well, yer could fuck me with a raw carrot! Why didn't I see that coming?I, for one, am shocked
That sounds like a tie from the European Cup in the 1970s. Have a look at the glories of Liverpool and the crap they beat in 4 rounds or something to win a load of their silverware. About a tenth as hard to win as the Champions League. Istree, lah.Well who isn't excited about Nottingham Forest v Honved

Apparently English clubs cannot join it?

'Premier League clubs can't join a breakaway league' - Why ESL plans have little chance of succeeding
Kaveh Solhekol explains why Premier League clubs cannot join a new-look European Super League or any other breakaway league.www.skysports.com
YepJust had a thought - what if we joined this new super league and pissed it ahead of Liverpool and United like we do the current league… do you think there is a chance they could look into our finances and charge us with breaking 115 unspecified rules of unknown origins?
Clubs would have to survive on annual revenue alone. So no equity cash injections, no direct payments to clear loans. Can't think of many clubs in the PL that have not had capital cash injections from time to time. Certainly Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea, City, Villa, would be out for starters. Very strange concept. Imagine running a business and banning any external investment. Everywhere would go bust. Nothing about debt though. That's all fantastic. The more the merrier. It doesn't even mention infrastructure investment. Asset stripping scumbags like the Glazers would be fine though. Happy days.Interesting I didn’t actually see that! Quite a bit different then and massively favours the historically ‘big’ clubs.
The inter galactic league?I was disgusted when Manchester City announced they were in favour of the proposals put forward, utterly ashamed. I was an advocate of the English League, the English football system, the cups, the prestige, the heritage.
I wanted to continue to experience and feel the joy of seeing the club named as Champions of England, Champions of the FA Cup and to want to throw that all away for some plastic league sickened me, because I still felt a connection to the other clubs in the country that I wanted City to compete with. I didn't want that tradition to die.
This week something has changed in me, and whilst i'm still not a proponent of this 'Supa Leeg', the unjustified hatred felt towards my club and my fellow supporters by fans and professionals at these other clubs, the glee at the announcement of the PL charges, the threat of relegation, titles stripped etc, a lot of that 'love' for the 'English game' is waning.
I've now adopted the stance that, whatever happens, i'll continue to follow Manchester City FC in whatever journey it takes, be that to the top of the English game, the European one or beyond.
Too much emotion still after Monday to really consider the merits of this. Needs a clear head. I’ll park it in the back of my mind for a week or so.
