North Stand Construction Discussion

If you saw Cyrstal Place vs Brighton, Leicester vs Spurs and Arsenal vs Brentford you would see that all these home teams and their fans have brought the noise by introducing them by having fans with drums etc. City can do this if they have a proper home end in the North Stand

Will you give over trying to force drums on us. You’re starting to get boring with it.

You’ll see from the first half at our place yesterday and the Leeds v United game that no ground in the Prem had a better atmosphere than those two grounds this weekend and neither had a friggin drum.

Why don't you lead from the front? Take your drum and have at it!

Is this still going ahead or have we spent the money on the lawyer instead?
Are stadium developments (or legal fees for that matter) on the books for ffp? Seem to remember the dippers conveniently writing off 60 odd million on a training ground that didn’t exist for years, if ever

I would be so gutted if they don't make this a proper section atmosphere first half last night you could see a lot of people joining in chants all round the stadium so we definitely have people wo will join in we just need a section who sings often and everyone around the ground Is able to actually hear them. Honestly think if City do this properly we'll have one of the best atmospheres in England if not the best

Look at Wembley.

Bottom tier at Wembley is full of Blues from all over the Etihad in five/six times the numbers that fit in SSL1 who are up for singing (although we haven’t been as good down there in many of our recent visits, we were mint from 2011-2014 plus Arsenal in 2018).

Is a small tambourine acceptable?

Don't think there's any chance it will. If they are as confident as we are led to believe they are.

Hopefully mate as i`m sure everything has already been sorted to be honest. I just wonder if it will be seen as a show of confidence or a show of arrogance with the Premier League? Like you say though, if the club are confident they are innocent then why should they not push on with it?!

I reckon that coach greeting before the game probably had a bigger impact than anything City could do with the ground configuration, not specifically it being a coach greeting but large numbers of fans before the game congregated together outside the ground getting an atmosphere going, then that feeding onto the concourse, then the stands.

The lack of anywhere decent to go around the ground for a drink and a singsong is shocking really, a covered City Square (with no farce entertainment) or a beer hall just off site (Mercedes garage?) would do wonders.

It's great being in and around Ancoats and Northern Quarter pre-match, it's probably one of the best areas in the UK, but it doesn't build an atmosphere.

Wait until the next development, indoor city Square...
