PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

my only hope is that once city get this case over and done with, that they start going after the usual suspects. I’m sick of the “holistic” approach. Wish city would grow a pair and sue journalists and any of the other people that talk shit with reckless abandon. City sit back too much and let stuff be said. And it’s us that have to defend them. It’s about time they started fighting back because it makes them look weak imho

I’d hunt down every fucker who tarnished our good name
I will find you...

You can repeat a libel, doesn't have to come direct from Tebas.

If lawyers do go after the fat paedo for the most recent comments that we are already guilty of 100 charges, then Sky are also in trouble.
Pep saying that about a lawyer in his presser was interesting.

I like it how we're firing back.

Sorry...playng catch up PB!

I assume this would be a fine, or something we feel we have a strong case to challenge legally?
Hard to say. But it wouldn't have been a capricious decision not to cooperate. It would have been done on legal advice, as it was during the UEFA investigation.

I'm not a lawyer but my understanding is that we can't be forced to incriminate ourselves, where the investigation is demanding documents that we don't believe have any relation to the specific charges.

So if the only charges related to Mancini's Al Jazira contract, then unless they had reasonable grounds, they couldn't demand all our sponsorship documents, for example.

They'll always think that because this whole thing is based on one very simple concept:

"There's no way the dirty Arabs are performing better than our historic clubs. The only possible explanation is they must be cheating."
Nailed. The ancient British view of Arabs is at the root of so much of this. For ‘filthy oil’ read ‘filthy Arabs’.
Do not forget that City’s Arabs are clearly honourable men.

I am not sure the PL itself has it in for us that much, tbh. I think they made a knee-jerk reaction to pressure from the usual suspects when the DS emails came out. All this is just a consequence. And the hundred and whatever breaches are down to the club playing hard to get with evidence, more than anything else. Seems the club wants this to play out this way, the PL had no choice about how to proceed imo once they had started the investigation.

Would have been much smarter to wait until after CAS then just look at things CAS didn't cover imho.

Then they are weak as piss & deserve to be sued along with the twats that pressured them. They should have a back bone & said fuck off early.

That may very well be it, in a nutshell. The path of least resistance, the same as Platini at UEFA who didn't have the balls to do what was right when threatened over FFP.

City want it all done and dusted in a matter of months.

95 per cent of the charges are already considered off the table.
Tolmie it is so good to have guys like you giving us fans hope, when all around us is chaos and hysteria. Same applies to Prestwich and several other members with their reasoned and intelligent comments.
This is either going to be our worst period in the history off our great club, or the best period whereby the club exposes all the corruption that has now become painfully obvious both on the pitch and in boardrooms up and down the country.
Well done to all you guys giving us fans hope that all will be well.
