Julian is amazing as a #10. The pass for the first goal was David Silva-esque thing of beauty!

As I've said before.. no one's gonna bench Haaland, not even Shearer in his prime. He's gonna have to learn another position and he did really good today!

2 goals and assist.. not a bad office at the day!

Disappointed that he signed an extension. Would have him over Haaland as our first choice target to replace Benzema. Haaland looks like a guy who will wait for opportunities to present itself but at Real we need someone more proactive. I don't think Haaland can drift wide for meaningful lengths of the game or could score a goal like Alvarez did in the WC Semifinal. That goal was all about 'fight' and that's what we need long term.
That goal was about pure dumb luck.

The daft thing is, he’d be well on track for being our 2nd or 3rd top scorer this time last year. And he’s maybe played half the number of minutes available to him.

Easy to overlook what a strong first season it’s been.

Got a feeling he’s going to be banging goals in for us for many many years to come and build a bit of a legacy.

Well become a better overall player than Aguero if he has a bit of luck on his side.

I totally agree mate.

He's a superb player, he always seems to be around the ball and he knows how to finish. A lovely goal from him today.

He’s got everything and I know Haaland may be hindering his game time but it’s also letting him going about his business without any real pressure.

He’s such a lethal finisher but also recognises the kind of passes he’d like as a striker and gives them to Haaland (first goal). I bet Erling loves playing alongside him.

I didn’t mind Jesus going because he’s not a clinical striker - not sure he ever will be despite his strengths - but even more buzzing that we’ve replaced him with somebody who matches his work ethic as well as having a real end product.

Him and Haaland, not him OR Haaland.

Clearly the future of our attack, virtually (maybe every?) every time they start they both score goals, its quite insane how well this works, like Aguero and Dzeko.

Looking in the future, there's no reason Foden can't play Kev's spot, young Palmer RW, and Grealish LW (although he isn't that young).

Either way, the attack is quite literally set for the future.

Has to cut it out of his game. It's not a press if you keep fouling players
He does it one or twice per game to send a message, but then he doesn't foul. I wouldn't say Julian's pressing is particularly a flaw of his game.

I love this fella, proper grafter with flair and an eye for goal, he’s lethal… reminds me of Carlos T, the more he plays, the more he belongs.

I'm not going to say whether or not he'll be as good as Aguero because he's got a long way to go to get to that level but when he goes through 1v1 with the keeper I have a similar level of confidence that he will score that I had with Sergio because he has the same composure in front of goal. His second was a perfect example.

Long way to go and a different sort of player though. They're both Argentinian but thats where the similarities end. Kun was an out and out striker (and a brilliant one at that). Alvarez reminds me of Thomas Muller a bit. He can play up top, on the wing, as a second striker, attacking midfielder, etc.
