It was always been a police thing in London so you rarely used to get the bigger games late Sat, they were scheduled so no need to move them.
Not sure how they make this out to be to our advantage, but wtf is it about? Police saying they can't do a late (17:30) ko on a Sat so it switches to Tues at, errm, 20:00!! This sounds a worrying precedent for matches in the capital...

But reduces their preparation time before Newcastle away that is most likely the harder game. Swings and roundabouts...It was always been a police thing in London so you rarely used to get the bigger games late Sat, they were scheduled so no need to move them.
It helps Arsenal too giving them a week off between City and Chelsea, and looks very suspicious.

Little snippet from that article.

Tuesday 16th or Wednesday 17th should we get through. Is the potential home semi vs Madrid/Chelsea deffo Wed's May 17th?
Oh thanks. I can only go to Tuesday and Sunday games so fingers crossed!Tuesday 16th or Wednesday 17th should we get through.
Dates will be confirmed towards the end of next week following the completion of the QFs.
It is subject to UCL participation on the Tuesday as it will only move if we are participating in the UCL on the Tuesday. So, if we get though next week, one of Everton or Leeds has to be moved, yet again, as they’re both scheduled for Sundays.
It surely cannot be that difficult to work out that only City or Chelsea can be playing on the 8/9th and the 16/17th so they could just leave them as Saturday fixtures.
Even city don’t seem to have worked it out as it says the Everton game is ‘subject to UCL participation on the following Tuesday’…
But if we’re on the Wednesday, we will be on the Tuesday the week before, so Leeds will need to be moved. It is subject to UCL participation on the Tuesday as it will only move if we are participating in the UCL on the Tuesday.
Just 5 days after the champs league final.AND, in other news, for those of us already thinking about 23/24 season ........ The fixture schedule will be revealed on Thursday, June 15 at 9am BST.
