Either your dementia has kicked in or you’re mistaking me with another poster because I don’t care one iota about the British empire. Hahaha. You seem to have been offended that I simply flagged some historical facts… and I don’t know if anyone has ever told you this but you have an unhealthy obsession with candles!

You didn't flag anything you spurted it out like you were informing the board of a new found trove of wisdom. If you have something to say about who had the worst empire start a poll and stop shouting at the buses.

Personally I never liked the eagle so glad that's gone. The ship relates to Manchester history - good or bad - so I don't mind it. I mean we are a British team and Britain used to have the biggest, arguably most brutal empire of all time so of course our history is going to be tainted... The point is it's way long ago in the past so I doubt many people actually care or have even connected the dots on the ship.

Teach it as history I agree, but every time something good is mentioned there are some who take a perverse pleasure in just throwing empire into it and making it a who killed the most competition.

We were all serfs of empire the poor didn't get rich they died in squalor, yet some people want to change from a ship to a Bee because someone said we just should.

They're 'avin' a larf mate :)

Erm no… haha. I literally say I don’t mind the ship symbol. How can I be triggered and simultaneously not dislike the said cause of anguish? Haha. You doughnut.

Anyway I was responding to another poster who suggested the Manchester bee would be a good alternative and I agreed… I do love that symbol more than the ship - just a personal preference mate, nothing to do with politics! For me the bee represents modern Manchester. Sorry that’s offended you.

You can keep using the word triggered and the whole candle obsession you have going on but it won’t change the fact you seem to be the snowflake here. I don’t know why it upsets you that the British empire WAS one of the biggest and one of the bloodiest? It’s a fact my friend. And I don’t think either of us were involved so don’t take it personally. Although I am starting to question how old you are…
