Nah probably more like self preservation. Goes to spurs and will be given 3/4 years. Goes to Chelsea and he could be sacked in a month.

If anything, like a lot of young managers he should not be managing the likes of Bayern etc but working his way up.

Chavs seriously need to stop sacking managers. It’s vulgar.

I agree. However, once the new management have realised that Graham Potter was not working and did not seem likely to suddenly turn a corner, they've had to act.

I think most people agree that Tuchel should never have been sacked, but it's happened, so no point in us crying about it any more.

All things considered I'd be really relieved to hear that we've appointed Pochettino with immediate effect so he can start rebuilding some trust within the squad. I suspect that many of the players are feeling nervous about there being no effective leadership at this point, and will be considering their options.

I think Boehly just tried to wave a magic wand when he arrived, instead of implementing a solid gameplan. Contrast that with Mansour bringing in Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain, and I think in Chelsea and City you have two pretty good examples of how not to do it vs how to do it amazingly well.

Well I do hope Chelsea get their shit together. Still rather fight it out with yourselves and Newcastle instead of the red wankers. If the 3 of us get it right then only 1 place left in the top 4 meaning they will all suffer financially. Sort it out -:)

Looks like it’s going to be poch

Looks like it. We’ll see how it goes. If we get the manager hire sorted before the end of the season, the main goal for the summer should definitely be to trim the squad back down to a reasonable number and then add new players in two key positions of need.

What do you lot think about Poch at Chelsea?

He will do ok if given time but he might be quicker to move the club forward with the top players Chelsea have, only slight doubt about him is he will HAVE to get top four will have to win trophies! Is that good a manager to do that!?

The analysis as outlined in the link is reassuring, at least, for giving Poch a go, I think.
Analysis aside, Poch strikes me as someone who encourages a tight environment, and will add some steel to a team that I barely recognise at the moment when it comes to being able to go toe-to-toe with opponents.
Poch would have been really successful at Spurs if Levy had not been such a cheapskate. Chelsea will take some time to sort out but, given backing, he will do well there.

Chelsea are doing whatever it is Boehly is trying to accomplish. Klopp has to rebuild. Levy is doing whatever it is he is trying to accomplish. Ten Hag will have the Qataris soon enough, who may behave like the Saudis at Newcastle or like Boehly. Arsenal will be the usual Arsenal, probably, next season. That is a lot of changes for the 'top six'.

It looks like the man, who came second in a one-horse race is about to take over from Frank at the Kremlin.

What a fucking shit-show!
It's not the Kremlin any more bro. Aren't you keeping up with current affairs?!

I'd say it's more like Las Vegas now. Money being thrown around like confetti and no one knows what anyone else is doing.

Porch’s reputation has been tainted by his PSG spell -when that Club is an absolute shit show.

So in effect it will be a fresh start for him and I’m sure he will do OK -as long as you aren’t interested in domestic Cups! (which he personally has told us all are waste of time after a pathetic defeat to Peterborough if IIRC)
