Season Tickets - 2023/24

For this season I've been paying by DD for the first time, so I'm not sure if this is what normally happens:

"As you chose to pay for your 2022/23 Season Ticket by Direct Debit, you will be automatically renewed between Tuesday 16th May and Wednesday 17th May. This means, you do not need to do anything to renew your Season Ticket."

(I didn't actually choose to pay that way, they chose for me and when I rang them they said that I could change how I paid when the closing date for renewals had gone. But then they had a computer glitch and in the end I said oh never mind I'll pay by DD! )

However what I want to know is do I trust this and do nothing on the 2nd May or do I go online and renew from there?
I am not losing my SC after the season I've had and as I am hoping to get to the last 2 home games and Real Madrid. :-)
I always use DD , you don't have to do anything to renew it does automatically renews, but I always send a DM to supporter services on Twitter round renewal time to have this confirmed, just so I have it in writing if anything was to go wrong

They'll no doubt be monitering this thread and laughing their tits off at us knowing we'll moan but mainly renew,i got 1 small victory back a few years ago by fucking platinum off.
I think we have had 1 prise freeze in about 10 seasons now.
Stop pushing us soriano

Thank you, I'll do something similar then because (contrary to my post about Bellingham) I do not want to lose my seat. Thanks a lot @gloryhuntersince85

Didn't over 65s used to get their ticket half price? Just looked and it seems they have stuck a bit extra on..
Bit of a shitter when their Pensions haven't gone up yet the cost of living has massively.
Yes, they've chipped away at that by a few quid for a couple of years now, mine at 50% would be £357.50 but is £405, so 56.6% of the adult price.

£45 increase in 109. Bit tedious considering everything going on - does it really add that much to our revenue to make pushing noses out of place worth it? Doubt it.

Exactly this. With revenues up, more is made at the ground on match day through merch and drinks. Opportunistic increases like this, justified while inflation is racing, just serves to piss people off rather than make a difference to the bottom line.
They know that for every person who leaves, there are people on the waiting list who’ll pay the money

No, you can't upgrade. This is from my email.

As a Silver Season Ticket Member you are unable to change to a 19-match Season Ticket level, such as Gold or Platinum.

You are however provided with a priority window to purchase tickets for the matches not included in your package (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur). You also have access to a range of benefits including access to purchase away tickets (subject to ticketpoints) and our Ticket Exchange and Ticket Transfer platforms.

I'm sceptical as to whether the death of the 19 game season ticket for new holders may have come to pass. Especially after today. Were those that downgraded from Gold last year (I know there wasn't many of them) told that they couldn't upgrade again once they'd downgraded? I don't believe so and if not this is another underhand tactic by the club to generate revenue at all costs.

Are the 5 teams that are omitted the same as last season or would Newcastle replace Spurs say?

Presumably all lapsed season tickets will be only offered as Silver if current holders of the Silver can't upgrade to a Gold.

It's all very odd and distasteful.

I say it on here every year, if you look at the accounts, the season ticket revenue is almost minute compared to everything else flowing in and out of the club, wages, sponsorship, merch and walk-up-ticket revenue. If they made them free it would barely dent the overall coffers yet they seem to think it essential to put prices up £6 a month or whatever the average is. Some areas have gone up 3 years in a row.

It’s increasing every year which is concerning but then again value for money is clear as day at City. Thinking of relocating from SS317 to East Stand Level 3. Be an extra £200 but the payment options help.
