Fair enough a but then our 18/19 season should probably be higher (when Liverpool won UCL and Chelsea won the EL). Both all English finals. Probably the strongest year in English history!!
I know what you mean but there’s more to it than that as well. You can type any date in the top left in the home page and it will show you the list. You can also type in any date on any club page and see where points were gained and lost.

If you look at the graph I think you have pinpointed the previous high.

Just had a look at the odds on Paddy Power and they have City at 1/16 to win the league and Arsenal at 10/1.

I am not as confident as the bookies that we will win but they are rarely wrong.

I get why us as fans feel that way, but looked at objectively Arsenal don't look like winning all their remaining games and City don't look like dropping points in, at a minimum, 2/3 of their 6 remaining games.

Since we lost at Spursy we've gone 18 games unbeaten, just shy of 3 months with 15 wins & 3 draws!
That is fucking insane levels of consistancy considering some of the teams we faced!
Peps got the machine chugging again, keep it oiled you bald fraud.

I'd be shocked if Chelsea get anything off them
Logically you are absolutely correct.
However, I'm a great believer in "squeaky bum time".
At this stage of the season, with teams fighting for Europe or fighting for their lives, logic and the form book are out of the window, anything can happen, and it usually does.
I fully expect the chavs to get something out of this fixture.

But what are Chelsea fighting for?
Put it another way, what are Chelsea for?

The loss at Spurs and the PL charges were announced on the same day. It seems to have galvanized the team.

The crazy thing about the current Elo rating is the gap between 1st and 2nd in the world is the same as the gap between 2nd and like 14th. Which is about the same as the gap between 14th and Burnley in the Championship.

City has been amongst the best teams in the world, and historically good for 5 years now, but this is something different. The strength has finally followed the money to the point that the Premier League is clearly the best in Europe. Brighton and Brentford would compete for Champions league places in every other league.

It's just crazy to think about. The Mancini and Pellegrini champions of England never looked like competing toe to toe with the best in Europe. Peps teams are on such a different level. It'd be a crying shame if the slings and arrows denied probability this time.

No. That was different. We officially won it the week before, when West Brom won at "TWGC"™. We got the trophy after the Huddersfield game as it was our last home game of the season (we had Saints away on the last weekend). To get the trophy after the Chelsea game, we'd have to have officially won it the week before, at Goodison. Which I can't see us doing. Arsenal would have to implode between now and then. The Premier League are unlikely to have the trophy at the ground on that day if there is still any shred of doubt as to where the trophy will end up.
Don't disagree but won't the trophy be at the Etihad anyway?
