I don't know why the general opinion of him has shifted so much since his injury problems last season.

I get that he's not progressed since then and his minutes have gone down but a lot of people really seemed to turn on him.

Although I've got to say, some were saying he could be better than Foden when he first broke through. That was always stupid. Foden is a genuinely special player.

Ive certainly not turned on him Tugay. Nothing against him at all. Just not sure what his main assets are. You can usually say a couple for a gifted young player.

I can see Cancelo back in Italy (on loan with an option to buy - with us subsidising his wages). I genuinely can't see Bayern taking him, Barca can't afford him so where's he going to go?

As you say, injuries have set him back. Want him to succeed at City but a season long loan could be for the best.

How about touting him to the swamp. He’s better than anything they’ve got and if you can’t be motivated against your rivals then you shouldn’t be playing professionally!

ManUre only seem to want players that City want. I doubt even they'd be desperate enough to take on Cancelo...

This is why I fear we'll have to wipe our mouths on this one & accept a loss.

We're better off without Cancelo hanging around like a soggy fart, than clinging on to him hoping to maximise our asking fee.

Liverpool like right backs who can't defend. Maybe they would go for him.

Of course he is,as he has proven on occasion,in some of the very rare minutes he has been given here,and with the England u21's.

The biggest fuck up with his kid was not loaning him at the start of this season,keeping him here was backwards.

He needs consistent Prem minutes,only then will we see him blossom.

There's definitely a special player in there and I can see: Palmer OUT, McAtee IN during summer changes to our first team squad.

Excellent stuff, not surprised him and Dennis didn't get along, both very headstrong.

Wasn't surprised when he mentioned Eze either, only watched him a few times but just looks so natural with a ball at his feet, but like Rodney says, he needs some direction, could be a very good player.

Incredible natural ability and a lovely player to watch with the ball, but there just seems to be something big missing, and I'm not sure what it is, I think it was Rodney Marsh who said he just needs coaching properly, maybe that's exactly it.

Me too. I've raved about him all season, so comfortable on the ball, got an eye for goal, he's a pep player 100%.

Still stand by that ‘maybe needs coaching/direction’ view, drifts in and out of games too much and needs to stamp his authority and ability more, but he is just such a beautiful player to watch when he’s on it.

Personally I prefer Phil on the right than left. Foden-Haaland-Grealish for me. Mahrez can probably cover RW for a bit longer but there's nobody to really rotate with Jack, that's just my logic.

Whether he is worth that money or not- he would have been a. Quality long term buy. The question is who do you spend that 120m on now that’d be a similar quality buy- if gundo leaves as expected we need someone top quality

If Bellingham joins, great - loads of talent & potential, with Pep guiding him. If Bellingham doesn't, it's been reported we have a list & can probably get a couple of very good players for the price of Jude. I think we'll be fine.
