Ederson
Dias
Rodri
Gundogan
Alvarez
Foden
Mahrez
Haaland

All confirmed starters

I'd take a point now. It's the one game that not a cup final and think this is where he'll rest people.

I tried coming up with an expected team, got to 9 and not sure who else he'd play. Don't want to say Palmer and Perrone but don't see Rodri or Gundogan starting and I'm not sure I'd want to risk KdB and Bernardo.

Ortega
Lewis Akanji Laporte Gomez
Phillips
Mahrez Alvarez Foden
We only playing with 9!

From some predicted lineups I’d say some taking Everton way too lightly.
Not necessarily. It's a case of trying to rest some of the key players for wednesday evening. Would Everton be seen as one of our "weaker" opponents? Yes, that's fairly obvious. And Pep may well see today as an opportunity to rotate the squad. If we were playing Arsenal, Liverpool or utd, that wouldn't be the case. We should go out today respecting Everton. But not fearing them. That's not taking them lightly.

Advantage Arsenal then !
Not really, we've got 3 games after today. 3 wins will be enough, so even if we lose today it's in our own hands. If we draw, we'd need 2 wins and a draw.

This is the only game we can afford to lose (unless we win and roll that over) and I think he'll have one eye on Wednesday. Wouldn't be my choice of line up, just a guess at what may happen

If you assume City will crush every opposition. Then punditry will be pointless and boring. It's normal to talk up the underdog.
He’s going to be a nightmare this afternoon. This managerial genius reckons we’ll slip up today because we’re too busy concentrating on ‘ Real Madrid ‘.

Basing mine of those saying Phillips starts. No chance.

Otherwise yep expect a few, just not 6+.

All of those players we group into the above category, at least showed something during their first year.

Phillips has showed nothing in the extremely brief cameos this season, and I assume in training, so even warrant being trusted to come on and give a half decent level of performance, even at times when we've been 2 or 3 up.

He's just clearly not getting it at all.
I think him "not getting it" is the problem. I really think that he does not understand oursystem, our way of playing. He has come from a up and at em team, who move the ball quickly and take risks. We can't have that, especially in his position. Sometimes when he has got a few minutes on the pitch, he plays blind balls, even in our own half until that is coached out of him, he won't play.

Got to go as strong as possible today as we cannot afford to give Arsenal any incentive. It will be tough enough today without playing a lesser side.

Ederson
Walker Dias Stone Akanji
Rodri Gundog KDB
Foden Haaland Grealish

Whilst today will be tough, I think (and I’m sure Everton think) they have two more eminently winnable games after today. I’d be targeting the win at Wolves and Everton will definitely beat Bournemouth at home. Leicester and Leeds for me going down with Southampton.

BMers love to have a moan. Nip into the match thread later on if you don't believe me. Some of our fans don't deserve the team we have.
I’ve only ever been on the match thread during a game once a few years ago and regretted it. Never again.
