PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The sad, sad thing is that journalism was once a proud profession, this lot really have no pride or integrity. Click bait tactics are cheap but like you say, so obvious.
.. And it is the worlds oldest profession too.
Oh wait hang on I was confusing it with prostitution - although today's journalists are selling their souls to anyone who will buy them so in some respect they are similar in selling themselves to whomever will cross their grubby palms with filthy lucre.

To my mind Liverpool supporters seem to have a hard on for us and all this shit because they have some fantastical vision that somehow they are going to be awarded titles.
They all conveniently forget or deny that LFC failed FFP in 2013 and only got away with it because they were so shit they didn't qualify for Europe thereby falling outside UEFA's investigation and punishment remit.

The same with them being on the verge of failing FFP in 2015 when they somehow magicked up £35 million in years old bogus 'stadium development expenses' for the non-existent Stanley Park project started by the previous owners and offset it against their FFP losses. This bullshit was accepted without question by UEFA and swept under the carpet by their man on the inside Rick Parry.

The club's messaging has been incredibly poor on this.

They should have been pushing out via their sources in the press that this is only 4 or 5 incidents that are generating dozens of charges each because of the time period covered.

They should be pushing much harder the idea that the non-compliance is to do with the PL changing the rules on what clubs have to submit in 2021.

They should be briefing people that the club wants this over and done with ASAP.

It's absolutely incredible to me that no one at City seems to have learned from the UEFA saga that their strategy of saying nothing just allows the narrative to be completely taken over by the people shouting loudest on the other side.
Mate no one's listening. It'd be like Christine Keeler's "Well they would say that, wouldn't they?".

City's best recourse is just to do what we do & leave them to gossip & accuse. We shouldn't even credit these planks with a response.

One lesson I learned in life years ago is never try to justify yourself until the appointed time. Most involved in football believe we're cheats. They've no real idea why, but that doesn't matter anyway.

It gives the likes of ManUre, Dippers, Arseholes, Spuds & Chelsea someone to blame if they fail to reach the Champions League or win any trophies.

We're just the boogie man they need to blame for their perceived failures...

In a criminal court you have the right to silence and you are innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
The onus is on the prosecution to prove their case.
In a PL tribunal it remains to be seen if we still have these rights, but in the kangaroo court of social media the onus seems to be on the defendant to prove their innocence and you are assumed guilty on the balance of probability which shifts charges every time you break silence and state irrefutable facts in your defence.

Silence is probably the right course of action as proving you’re innocence to an unreceptive unwilling SMS jury is an impossible task.
It is a game you cannot win and only provides further clicks and fodder for the great unwashed.
Yeah,i can see and accept that stance.....it just doesn't sit well when every media outlet and SM site is singing from the same vindictive/jealous sheet.

I cant wait for this to conclude and the fuckers crawl back under their respective rocks.

1 thing everyone seems to know though is the charges

Good point. They can blame us and not fix their own shit. Suits City

Sheik Mansour is an investor by trade and inclination. Building the structure and facilities to become self sustaining was his plan from Day 1, irrespective of ffp. Our subsequent history and his steadfastness proves his perspicacity and genuine commitment.
PS EDIT.
CFG is becoming a global monster.
Some would say massive

Mate, even I'm not quite sure what all the charges are, so why would most opposition fans trouble themselves with the details?

As far as they're concerned, we've been accused so we're guilty. The charges & any evidence we have to refute the allegations are mere details they can't be arsed to concern themselves with.

We're guilty, so need to be hung, drawn & quartered with all our titles handed to the runners up. It's all absolute bollocks... \0/

Andy Jacobs, talksport and Chelsea mardarse, said today that these 115 charges will be dropped because our owners are bigger than anybody out there and have more money and can blow the Premier League out the water.

Sounded like he was going to cry.
That was fat Spurs **** Danny Kelly. Well known City hater.

One trope repeated constantly in the MSM is the validity of the UAE sponsorships. They can NOT be invalidated solely because of country of origin as that would be blatant discrimination against the UAE.

So let’s say a PL investigator requests from MCFC all the communications, correspondence, emails etc between MCFC and Sponsor A, circa 2010. The intention being to ascertain that commercial negotiations took place and that a formal contractual relationship was agreed and entered into and it included market values. This could be confirmed by subsequent financial transactions ie for sponsorship services rendered. nb The PL has no jurisdiction over sponsor A what so ever. If MCFC said sorry we don’t have any supporting documentation but we can supply retrospective informal evidence by individuals involved, that would be very damming . On the other hand if they said we have all the documentation but are not prepared to disclose in the public domain because of confidentiality agreements with Sponsor A, that would be acceptable.

To me, non legal, it seems binary, either Sponsor A was valid or invalid, it should be possible for MCFC to prove all 4 sponsors were valid once and for all.

However, what if the PL consider Sponsor A “dubious”, is that guilty of a charge ?, that’s where a biased non objective judgement could stray into the political. If the PL claim the market value was artificially high, will the panel agree with them or dismiss the charge as being completely subjective.

Makes me wonder what the end game is for our enemies, is it to smear us or shut us down? Is their fantasy to do a Rangers on us? Could they actually get away with it? Or have the EPL seriously overreached and would be happy with a face saving compromise?
fucked if I know!
Both, it's very unlikely they would get us shut down or suffer any material harm such as points deduction

But football being a very tribal game, if you throw enough mud and all that the hard of thinking will swallow it

It puts City in a bind, I am sure with the resources the club has they could come out fighting and have dirt dug on many of the protagonists and start slinging the mud their way, however we swim in the same water, City is a successful venture in what is seen as the worlds best league, we don't want to destroy that the way the Italian leagues have been destroyed.

My hope is that the government will eventually bring pressure to bear on all parties to get this settled as soon as possible for two reasons, the PL is a huge export for the UK and earns the exchequer lots of money, second is diplomacy we can't underestimate the importance of maintaining good relations with the Gulf States, they supply a lot of energy and investment to the UK we also export quite a lot there.

The Arabic way of vengeance is not immediate, they take a very long view of things, thise ranged against us will get their comeuppance in time

I was there that day. Big fuckers got more than they bargained for. Doubt that fat twat has ever watched a Spurs away game.
Do you remember them being cornered behind the open air corner and Platt Lane weren't so mouthy with nowhere to go.

Can someone explain how the 115 charges can be rounded down to 5? and what they are?

Apologies for being in the dark.....Cheers
I listened to @projectriver podcast again today and I think it's this:

1. Providing false accounts for 9 years.
2. Mancini contract partly paid by Abu Dhabi company, Yaya Toure agent fees
3. Breaching UEFA FFP
4. Breaching Premier League sustainability rules
5. Non Co-operation
