Ref Watch

I'm ignoring the var decision for now.

Don't think much of this ref, but most of his decisions were ok. The thing that hindered us most was the amount of passing options he managed to block in midfield. Not sure if he's a bit clueless or it's deliberate.

VAR had backed itself into a corner with clear double standards on when to intervene.

This weekend could be messy if a club loses £100 million by relegation because of a VAR decision that is in clear contrast to what has been given previously.

They all do it. That angled run across the pitch blocks the passing lanes. It’s like they have a whiteboard where their coach tells them where to move to

Again the double standards were apparent, VAR didn't "see" the clear shirt pull from Caicedo on Silva, but immediately disallowed Haaland's goal for the same thing.

Didn’t really see that as double standards any more than the usual between defenders and attackers tbh.

The Silva one wasn’t enough for a penalty, the Haaland one was enough to disallow a goal.
