I think with Gomez, we’ve made a mistake, seems a lovely lad but he just isn’t the level required.

It's not a mistake, he's just not ready yet, but will go out on loan or with a buyback and if he develops he'll come back.

We needed him this season, so he got brought in early, but 23 games for Man City going for a treble coming from Anderlecht is a great season for any 21 year old kid, let alone someone trying to change position.

People just see to have had ridiculous expectations of him being the finished article from day 1.

No, where's the mistake?

We we left without a LB option when Cucurella fell through and needed some cover. They thought Gomez could help out, and he did, playing 23 games across the season that someone else didn't have to.

No one ever said they thought he was ready to be a world class LB and start 50 games a season.

I think he’s gone anyway mate, not convinced we get Guerreiro either unfortunately but if Gvardiol comes in then we don’t need Gomez anyway

Same as real. So much noise, but i think we got him without screaming it to everyone.

I believe th when he say we got our deals in the bag. I believe it’s still Kovacic, Bellingham, Guerreiro, Gvardiol and a rw.

I do think that Gvardiol solves the lb situation, which doesn’t require City to go hard for Guerreiro unless they want to.

I’d probably see Rice as the Bellingham option.

Rw depends on the cm agenda and if they move down Phil or not

I also don’t think we are desperate to get him? With Gvardiol hopefully coming I think city would like Guerreiro but it’s not essential to peps summer plans

We have been to light in lb this season since Gomez hasn’t been good enough. If we sell him and buy Guerreiro the defence looks more stocked.

Real have got other positions to fill as well as LB, & albeit they've released a few & other players' contracts have expired, they'll need replacing & the big wages of Benzema & Hazard saved will probably get gobbled up elsewhere...

Agree with that totally mate and I hope we get him but I just don’t think we would be completely devastated if he chose elsewhere.
