One of those signings that, barring any misfortune, will be understatedly brilliant. He's been a midfield mainstay in one of the best international teams of the decade. As a rotational option, it's an astute signing.

He was plenty good enough tonight. Came out after 85 minutew with Croatia up 2-1. The Dutch evened the score in stoppage time. Now in extra time...This season, but in 2021 they won the CL :). He has been excellent for Croatia this season, for example.
We have been interested in Kovacic since 2013, he is one of those players with a very high ceiling ability-wise, and you just know that the guy needs someone like Pep to help him fulfill his potential.
For anyone interested, it's Netherlands vs Croatia tonight, a chance to see him in action.
Btw, our boy Ake has been his impressive self coming in on like one day of saying hello and probably not even getting a chance to train.
