more special than the community shield, but not as magic as the shamrock cupAre you saying the Joan Gamper wasn’t special?

Come on, really? City have played in empty stadiums and away games with a tiny away allocation. It doesn’t hurt them at all.Sorry don’t get this. This only hurts the players.
I consider this a serious trophy (and it’s a damn site bigger than the Juan Gamper), albeit a minor trophy, that I always want to win when we’re in it and I’m always disappointed (while not gutted) when we lose in it…This isn't a serious trophy, it is a pre season trinket people mainly never care about losing out on
no more special than winning the Joan Gamper
The Midlands teams need to sort their shit out with the size of their stadiums. It’s dead simple. play it at Villa! 20k each. Perfect.
Fair enough mateIt’s the least glamorous one of them all I get that and the chances of us lifting all 7 are very slim. I’m certainly not putting up and argument for people to go. I’m just say for me personally if I seen city lift the other 6 and missed out because of a boycott I’d be raging as this may never come around again
Haha. All of that plus Wembley is a shit hole.I’m gonna boycott the fuck out of going to the game and sit at home with a crate and crisps.
Fuck their shitty, overpriced beer and extortionate food prices. Southern wankers.
If everyone who supports the boycott emails the Club once the tickets go on sale telling them that you are not buying a ticket and the reasons why the Club will have to pay more attention next time.If this was a Saturday or earlier in the day on the Sunday, I wouldn’t have a problem with this, but the FA can get fucked with this shit… and City too for not standing up for us (AGAIN!) and saying that this isn’t good enough for our supporters.
I’ll be right behind your idea, mate. Get the ball rolling.
I think FA Cup semis being at Wembley need to start getting boycotted n’all. Proper takes the shine off the final.
The problem is that somebody down the pecking order might buy them… We’ll seeIf everyone who supports the boycott emails the Club once the tickets go on sale telling them that you are not buying a ticket and the reasons why the Club will have to pay more attention next time.
The FA, ITV and City may think they can ignore the fans but they need to remember the Super League.
City will be embarrassed by having to return thousands of tickets unsold but on this occasion they deserve to be embarrassed.
You're right decent trophy owing to having to be champions or FA.Cup winners to have a chance(usually), bit like our jaunt to Athens.Alas 5.30 is just taking the piss out of a Manchester based fan base, not sure about boycotts just if its not for you don't go.I consider this a serious trophy (and it’s a damn site bigger than the Juan Gamper), albeit a minor trophy, that I always want to win when we’re in it and I’m always disappointed (while not gutted) when we lose in it…
but I’m behind the boycott of this one.
There probably won’t be any boycott, many will go.The time isn’t great, but why us being in a communty shield final at Wembley in August is a surprise to anyone after the last 10 years is beyond me, nothing to do with City, it is where it is.If everyone who supports the boycott emails the Club once the tickets go on sale telling them that you are not buying a ticket and the reasons why the Club will have to pay more attention next time.

A lot of people will still buy tickets and that’s fine, it’s their personal choice. But if City gets an allocation of (say) 30,000 tickets and has to return 25,000 it will be hugely embarrassing for the Club and the FA.The problem is that somebody down the pecking order might buy them… We’ll see
I’m fucked if I’m going now.. they can ram it

It’s a glorified friendly go or don’t , why make a song and dance over it ,no idea.

This is the reason fans across the UK not just us get shafted by the FA, Prem, EFL and TV companies constanlyThere probably won’t be any boycott, many will go.The time isn’t great, but why us being in a communty sheild final at Wembley in August is a surprise to anyone after the last 10 years is beyond me, nothing to do with City, it is where it is.

This game should be played on Saturday at 3pm, just like the FA Cup should be, and the FA needs to stop pandering, or selling out, to the TV companies.
