Well he won’t be another RSCExcellent profile for us, as long as we can keep him injury free he’ll be a huge success for us

Lol. In champ's defense likes didn't start until blue moon was already very seasoned. Technically, one could have thousands of posts and no likes. You must have the worst posts to likes ratio I've ever seen on here. Great work.
Yep. I think people are still sulking from missing out on Bellingham.Everyone wants the latest buzz name. Bloody good player who will bring experience and quality to midfield and help us rest players. Small squad is great but you need adequate replacements. Some of our fans have been spoiled. Want a Haaland type signing every summer. I agree with you. Can’t wait to see how the boss wants to use him. He is a very accomplished player. Pep ain’t daft.
What's the obsession with the academy? We've had plenty around the team recently and we won the fucking treble. Maybe we will win the quadruple if we tweak our approach to your liking and have a younger team with less experience??Is there no player in our Academy or on loan that could have been given an opportunity? Bidding war for Romeo Lavia happening at the moment.
What’s wrong with wanting Academy kids to be given a chance? When I first moved to Manchester in 1984 it was the young local lads that the City fans were so proud of. Our Chairman has just praised the academy to the maximum - “the treble treble” etc. What's the obsession with the academy? We've had plenty around the team recently and we won the fucking treble. It's a balance and one I'm happy for Pep and Co to sort out. In June of last year did you think Rico Lewis would push Cancelo out of the club? McAtee and Bobb have been tipped for possible senior spots next season already so I don't understand the concern here. What’s wrong with wanting Academy kids to be given a chance? If we lose our experienced players this summer I would like our younger Academy players to be considered. Simple as that.
I hope it does...He is an average player. We already have one in Kalvin. We have Rodri and Perrone.
He is not as good as Gundo in attack. Can’t replace him. He can’t replace Bernardo.
No optimism there. I hope this transfer never happens.
He's above average...Correct - he’s average, exactly what I’ve been saying. Some here have been saying he’s ‘great’ - beats me.
Too many that think playing FIFA makes them football talent evaluators...Everyone wants the latest buzz name. The concern is that City will always look to buy a player and that seems to be the preferred option. Chelsea used to be the top Academy side and now it’s City. Both seem to be just producing many players for other clubs. Financial sense but fans love one of their own. Phil and Rico have done that. 1984 what a great side that was, FFS, we have just won the treble the only kids getting into this squad will have to be exceptional as we have seen with Lewis. What’s wrong with wanting Academy kids to be given a chance? As I'm sure they will. However, don't be surprised if Pep deems them not ready for this team. What’s wrong with wanting Academy kids to be given a chance? He’s a very good player but not an exciting signing: he’s primarily the solid reliable type but at the right technical level. If we sign him, he will be a good addition to the squad.I think I’d put it down to a number of factors:
a) some saying that simply cos they want it to be so
b) some saying it cos we’ve signed players before who have been viewed as ‘underwhelming’ in some ways at the time but who have gone on to be really important and effective parts of our success under Pep, so feel this can happen again here, and
c) some saying it cos they genuinely believe he has shown great play at Chelsea/ internationally.
For those 3 reasons I’m honestly not as surprised as you.

Average my arse if he was that bad why are most chelsea fans gutted he's goingHe is an average player. We already have one in Kalvin. We have Rodri and Perrone.

I agree to an extent but he has one hell of a footballing brain, that can make up for a lot of technical deficiencies.I don't think Rico is all that, but might just be me.
Very young still, so be interesting to see how he develops.
Never a defender, mind.
You don’t think Rico is ‘all that’ - as Wimbledon is coming up - you cannot be serious? I’m stunned by this.I don't think Rico is all that, but might just be me.

He’s young and like all young players makes mistakes; the goal in the defeat at Spurs was an example of that. He still needs to develop physically so mistakes will inevitably happen when he plays in midfield where the pressure is greater.18yrs old and steps into the best side in the world and never puts a foot wrong. world class international footballers give him the ball in any situation because they know he’s capable and will not give the ball away.
Are you seriously comparing getting into our first team now, to doing so in 1984?What’s wrong with wanting Academy kids to be given a chance?
