Gundo we have no control over as his contracts up, and we’ve clearly promised Bernardo he can go if Mendes finds a Club willing to pay the price we’ve set.

If they come to us with the right money, and Bernie has decided it’s a club he wants - he’ll be gone.

We’re not the kind of Club that will block him from making the right move for him and his family after his exemplary attitude since he joined us.

I agree, replacements are never on par though are they. They have to blend in and prove themselves. A squad refresh is due anyway. For the sake of positives
 
The Saudis have failed with Mahrez (although this is probably his last season at City). They would be better off biding their time and moving for Bernie when he has no transfer fee.

Barca and both Milan teams dont have money for Bernie.

Those upset he would go to that league for money do not live in reality. That is enough money to set him, and his family up for eternity.

Only for a few years of football.
 
This window is going to be mental. Saudis lining the pockets of lots of teams going on the offensive. As someone said they could line the pockets of Barcelona and hey presto that pays for Bernado. Going to be a wild ride.
 
This will definitely weaken the Portuguese national side though, if they continue like this.

Not just players the entire club. Although the Saudis are missing a trick in not having an attempt in making a move for Harry Kane. They also missed a trick with Gundo.

Thats why we should demand more than the £75m fee (or whatever it was) we agreed to sell him for so he could achieve that. If he wants a move that has nothing to do with moving closer to Lisbon we should demand much more. 150-200m seems reasonable considering his status in world football, what team he plays for and the financial strength of a potential Saudi buyer.

This makes more sense than Barca or PSG tbh.

Out of the clubs that want him, Saudi would be most desperate to give him a two year deal, and remember he said he has an eye on returning to Benfica really soon. Playing for a Saudi team would make him a free agent for Benfica in a couple of years, while having the upside of making more than enough for an early retirement.

Any other club bidding for a fee are obliged to want more years than he's willing to give. It's either Saudi or City for the remaining two years I believe.

You think they didn’t notice Kane or Gundo? I imagine they have made moves for all these players and some gave an emphatic no.. much like Mcllroy et al and LIV!
