Declan Rice

I think being around Pep and great players is probably helping him more than playing for the Under 21s. However at this stage in his career he needs to be playing in the Premier League on a regular basis so a loan move could be really good for him. There are a few teams that could offer him regular starts but if it could help sweeten the deal for us to get Rice, why not West Ham ?
It may well be,but the recognition should be there, and you cant beat playing time.....sitting on our bench for the past 2 years has done nothing in those respects.

That ex West Ham employee who is about as reliable as you can get when it comes to West Ham said no bid as of yet but West Ham expecting one. Also @mattyb said last night we aren’t close to this signing.

I suspect West Ham are using us to drive the price up. Something just doesn’t feel right with this transfer.

I agree, something tells me we''re only in for him just because Arsenal can't stump up the cash. Similar to united signing Fred, Sanchez, Maguire etc. just because we didn't want to overpay

Maybe we're expecting too much from people who think us replacing outgoing players is a superfluous display of domination.
Ive had a few in work throw a hissy fit. Saying league is over next year already no one can compete and city can do whatever they want. PL is new bundesliga

Pep,city etc. are quite happy to be associated to the sale of Rice, as Arsenal have a transfer budget, we will not deny we’re interested cos it drives up the transfer fee, and Arsenal may spunk more than they would like from there budget.

fact or opinion mate?

Same old shite. As soon as we spend money everyone is up in arms. FFS they were spending shit loads with no CL football. But of course that’s fine.

The reason why Rice isn't currently in an Arsenal shirt is because they've wasted time haggling for their number one priority whilst trying to throw big money at Chelsea for Kai fucking Havertz.

They have and will spend shit loads. We just spend it better and with the success to back it up.

I've seen so many Arsenal fans asking how we can afford to pay for Rice right now.

They've long forgotten what prize money is.
On top of it, it doesn't get mentioned enough, but don't we have a LOT of money to spend from previous transfer windows from our sales? Does anyone know the figures? Has to be 100m+.

Being given that indication wouldn't necessarily mean anything as we've been lied to before.

I'd be surprised if he turns down the chance to work with Pep but stranger things have happened.

There's nothing in it for Rice to lie to us if his only choice remains Arsenal.

It pushes the fee up for Arsenal and also impacts negatively the wages he would receive from them.

Sullivan is the fly in the ointment, he is the one briefing our interest and bid timelines.

He's doing his job for his Club, but we can't control the messaging because of it.
