I think I agree with that. Whilst City shirts are not yet in the pukka sports shops alongside RM and Barca the markets are now discounting Pool and Utd ones (Spain is where I live),The point is, the snide traders have stopped selling them full stop
Just enjoy it mate.I hate all this waiting
But I guess we have no choice
Come on Lord Pannick
Oh DeffoJust enjoy it mate.
It’s still sinking in with me … the scale of what this club’s just done.
Magnificent.
It is what it is. My over-optimistic hope is that the overseas virtual fans will subsidise tickets for match-goers. The spectacle has to have a crowd. Football is huge now, possibly the UKs biggest export, which is not saying much these days!We will be selling Virtual season tickets soon enough, VR headsets from Norway to Sydney, that's the plan.
Yes, reputational damage has been enormous, both personally for the Sheik and kaldoon we meed to sue the living daylights out of them, long standing deformation of character as well as accumulative loss of earning from sponsorsHowever, my alternative view is that the club and in particular its owners, have reached the end of their tether on this now and are going full on to fight all the charges that has been brought. Enough is enough for them and they are now going all in,,,,,,,,,,,,, just my take FWIW.

I think the future business model for football will be this - say £6-800 a year for virtual ticket, and actually physically attending a match to become free/heavily subsidised.I mentioned this in one of my posts it will absolutely happen.
I really hope this comes true.I think the future business model for football will be this - say £6-800 a year for virtual ticket, and actually physically attending a match to become free/heavily subsidised.
Sadly it will just be added to revenue as a new income stream.I really hope this comes true.
You are probably right but we have seen a £30 limit it on away tickets so anything is possible. I just think if City end up with 10 million virtual season ticket holders then surely there will be pressure to keep match day tickets at a fair level. The money will be such a small slice of the cake and could be ring-fenced from broadcast deals.Sadly it will just be added to revenue as a new income stream.
Making physical attendance at a game cheaper is a pipe dream, given Soriano’s ongoing microaggressions against the hardcore fanbase
I think it will , certainly at the elite level. Gate receipts will be a dwindling portion of revenue but a full ground with a great atmosphere will still be an essential part of the global media product.I really hope this comes true.
It would make a lot of sense for the leading clubs. The commercial income from selling your own broadcasts would dwarf gate income to a ridiculous level for global operators like CFG. This is why Sheikh Mansour got involved in football in the first place. It's about making serious money.I think it will , certainly at the elite level. I've had this same convo with one of my rag neighbours. The point is, the snide traders have stopped selling rag shirts full stop
This. Make money. This is why I’ve never understood the sportwashing argument regarding us. Our owners are not here to promote Abu Dhabi, it seems they couldn’t care less about that, or because they have a soft spot for MCFC. They are simply here because they will make loads and loads of money by investing in us.It would make a lot of sense for the leading clubs. Kids of 18 or younger won’t remember their treble as they were not even born.
Rags always had the prem league pin up player. Giggs, beckham, Rooney, ronaldo
Now it’s Haaland, Grealish, de bryne shirts everywhere
We are have created a legacy which is only going to grow.
Haaland has been fantastic on the pitch but off it he is off the scale
None so blind…I've had this same convo with one of my rag neighbours.
His reasoning that the snide traders dont have any rag shirts on display is that they always sell out.
I kid you not.
Where was your dad when all this happened?yep, my brother became a gooner when city were in Div 2 and you lot just done the double. and we are from Manchester area.
Still goes to City games occasionally when I can't (other than arsenal) and has spent a lot following Arsenal around
Relatively unsuccessful? Do fuck off.A true fan never ever switches loyalty once they’ve chosen their team as a young lad. Good for him. When you consider how relatively unsuccessful we’ve been in recent years, it’s good he remains loyal and not a glory hunter.
