Am I missing something here, everyone is worried about who we are buying or selling, saying we are not active enough in the transfer market etc. But didn’t we finish our season 2 weeks behind everyone else because we just had the most successful season in our history. I think everyone is entitled to a holiday before we get back to business.
I’m sure we will replace who needs to be replaced in the coming weeks!

guess Txiki also need to set some time aside to sort out the CFG loan army. what the fuck is the status on Couto, Kayky, Palaversa, Diego Rosa, Issa Kabore, Herrera, Moreno, Arzani etc we spent 5-10-m on each of them on average, some wonderkids in there, is there just one who make the cut at City first team, some has been with us for 2-3-4 years now.will be honest have no idea how they performed overall last season.
do recall we rejected some good bid for Kabore last summer, wonder we get similar offer for him, maybe not.

if they are all flops, time to cash in and write down the as losses as I dont expect to get serious fees for any of them.
we seemed to make bit of money in the previous batch with maybe Harrison and the another one shifted to Huddersfield, Maffeo maybe, Douglas Luiz, but these recent youngsters aint looking good to me. scouting on them maybe lacked something. the bit of hype around Kayky, next Neymar etc, next thing we know he is selling doner and kebabs somewhere in Manchester...

Couto seems to be the best of this batch, did kind of well at Girona (10+ starts in league and 10+ times subbed in, not a regular but at least got some playing time), but very short rightback. not sure he is higher level than Maffeo who flopped badly after we sold him.
Just to answer a the ones mentioned and that I’ve somewhat kept an eye on, Palversa moved to Troyes, Rosa was sold to a sister club, Kabore still has a contract with City till 2025 (just finished his Marseille loan), Herrera just finished a loan (contract ends in ‘24), Moreno went to Maritimo on a free (buy back clause for City included), and Arzani left last year to the Australian league for free.

Kayky plays for Bahia and is on loan. Believe it ends in Dec. Saw a few highlights of him last month or so where we scored some good goals. Struggled at his first loan club before the Bahia move in Jan.

I think some annoyance with our transfers this season is understandable. Every team in the big 7(including Newcastle now) and even Aston Villa are having some really good transfers, and all of them now have a better team than last season. We don't. And the rumours for our outgoings are taking way too long, and we barely have any rumors of exciting players coming our way.

Arsenal: Havertz and Rice + Timber are all exciting players.
Chelsea: Some amazing outgoings and they have Nkunku coming and maybe Caicedo.
United: Mount- Bruno - Casemiro is a really strong midfield. They are also trying to bring Onana who is a really good GK + rumors on Caicedo and Kane.
Liverpool: MacAllister and Szoboszlai are two very solid signings
Newcastle: Tonalli is an amazing signing.
Tottenham: Kulusevski + Maddison is solid.
Aston Villa: Pau Torres is really good, Tielemans is solid.
Bayern: Guerreiro and Laimer are solid, Min is really exciting, selling Lucas for 50m with only 1 year of contract is really good.
Barca: Adding Gundogan is amazing, Martinez is solid, and they are close to having Brozovic.
Madrid: Bellingham, and waiting for Mbappe.

All of these teams are stronger now. Of course, it's still early in the market, but we certainly haven't had a good start.
Warrior? Lol. Worrier more like

I was one of the few who were confident in January that we were going to win all the titles and I am always one of the few who laughs on matchdays on all the desperation when we don't score in the first 10 min. Go ahead and look at my post history. Anyway, at least I give arguments, answer these 2 things:

Are we a better squad now than 1 month ago?
Are the others better squads than one month ago?

The answer to both is obvious, and the conclusion is only one: we are having the worst transfer seasons SO FAR. Nothing to be scared for the next season, but it is the truth right now.
Not the truth, and until the season starts can't know if those other teams are better or not.

Stop flapping have trust in the executives, I know last season in history and we start again.

Yes we lost Gundo but bought a super player in Kovacic we will have a better feel of where we are up to in a months time chill blues!

I didn't expect many incomings this summer, where exactly do we need to strengthen?. Other teams are having to splash the cash to catch us up it's as simple as that really. As long as nobody else leaves then I'd be happy with our squad as it is going into the 23-24 season

The only flip side to that is the season was gruelling and Pep has said you need to refresh the squad to keep the hunger. I’m confident City will be ready.

Maybe we be smart and bring in a couple of players cheap like we did last season in Akanji and Gomes one was a great by the other not so much!

I think we were all hoping for more completed business by the his point, our backroom team have done well in previous years. I've got faith that we will be strong again even if we lose Gundo, Bernie, American, Kyle and Riyadh
However, I do think a great deal of consideration needs to go towards the average age of the squad which is creeping up. If not, when Pep leaves, we could experience the kind of drop off seen at the swamp when Fergie retired.
I'm not able to list who we should target but I do know that the focus should be on the next 5 to 10 years rather than just the remainder of Pep's contact

Makes Txixi looks like an amateur
You are a wum or are clueless. Have we not just won the treble!? With Tixi the amateur key to the squad we have. You don’t know how long the scousers have been talking to RB yet you come on here and make bullshit statements like that, not just in one thread but several.

It'll be incredibly difficult to maintain the same standards and drive next year after such a brilliant end to the season. That could be exacerbated with having some older players, who've won it all and might not buy-in a much to Pep's brilliant yet exhausting style - but I guess that's part of why Pep is the genius he is.

The whole thing with Rice confuses me. Kovacic was progessing regardless of outgoings. We only moved for Rice after Gundogan was moving to Barca, with talk that Rice was looked at as someone who can play box to box and be creative in the final third. And after standing firm on their valuation, we now will operate on a 1 out 1 in in midfield.

Are the 'gaps' that Rice would fill still not there? If they could be filled by the existing squad and you're happy with the squad, why bother bidding £90m?

Wouldn’t blame Mahrez if he went Saudi, the money being offered to him is life changing. Could be set up well even after retirement from football.
I wouldn't either. It will be his last big pay day so wouldn't be surprised if he pushed it. If we got a good fee for him I wouldn't stand in his way.

He's 32, so we've had his best years, so he'd go with our best wishes. No idea who we'd bring in to replace him though.
