Funny stats to upset United fans

Absolutely true. As a kid I went alternately to Maine Rd and the swamp. Common in those days, especially if you were relying on other boys dads.
Hated the swamp even then.
Likewise. 2 games in and I was willing the opposition to score! Even as a kid it was clear that the whole set up was just a brainwashed cult for the hard of thinking. Not superficial like it has become since sky arrived, but twats playing for twats all the same.

This one has always worked a treat for me. It's a trump card against the plastics. You can also include City's random trips for replays at Old Trafford like Luton and Walsall, plus testimonials. The one that pushes them over the edge is when I tell them I have seen George Best play more times than them and he is "seriously over-rated." He never turned up against City.
He did - just the once! FA Youth Cup! The pinnacle of his career!

Wound a rag pie eater right up on holiday last week. Treble.
Pie eater: They did it first.
Me: We were champions of England going in to the Champions League. We got more points. We beat you in the FA Cup final.
He was starting to get really annoyed at this point. They stopped us doing the Quad. No Southampton did that. He was really like a fish on a riverbank gasping for life at this point.
He then resorted to the emptihad jibes. Where do you sit at the swamp then, his even more gormless missus butted in that they sit in the East stand because they get their tickets through work!
So I just said so you don’t pay for your tickets yet slag off Blues for not going then? He knew he couldn’t answer back on that.
Bizarrely he then started rambling about the Belfast pisshead. Let him have both barrels on that one. World class my arse.
Pretty much finished him off and he asked me for a fight!
More than happy to oblige. His mate and his missus jumped in between us - he knew they would. His mate tried to make the peace and I told him I don’t rate any of you as scum fan as you’re all plastic scousers, he called me a nobhead to which I responded that’s a Mancunian nobhead if you don’t mind.
Laughed at the lot of them supped up then strolled back to our apartment.

Now the bar we were in - Paulão’s in Albufeira - has a Facebook page that my GLW subscribes to. Later that night the stupid fuckers, there was about six of them, put a post on of themselves singing a nytid song.

Oh they’re fucking hurting, not a single one of them saw it coming.

CTID.
As you were my lovely Blues.
Must let me have the holiday info - it sounds really classy…….

Do they get the same weather there as we do in Manchester then?
I worked on Chester Road for 12 long, forlorn years. Used to spit at the swamp every day. Considering that they'd been top dogs for over a decade sitting on the league like a bulbous carbuncle, they really did fuck all for that benighted area. Even now it's like something outta the walking dead.

I can confirm without prejudice that everything about trafford is shite, especially the weather!

Reaching out at this post mason fucking mount signing time to the hardcore of their grieving support, the devon and cornwall rags! How we used to take the piss out of those coaches every match day!

Seen a few febrile rags here in Tunisia, they're not right!

^ on my point from above; without City, United would either still be a minor club or wouldn’t even exist.

Before our player Matt Busby went to them, United were nothing.

Their only trophies before Busby were won with City players. We agreed to give them first dibs on our banned players in 1906, with whom they won 2 league titles and an FA Cup. Without them, United wouldn’t have won any trophies at all in their first 46 years as a club until Busby went there.

We voted with them when Manchester Central wanted to join the FL, which kept them in business. Without us doing that there would be no Manchester United today because they were in the shit and Central were getting bigger crowds than them as an amateur club and had better backers. United were floundering down the bottom of the Second Division and getting gates as low as 3,000 which saw them being insolvent and they were under threat of being voted out of the Football League. They couldn’t even afford new kits. But Central not getting voted in saw their backers back-out, Central disappeared, and United’s crowds started to increase again.

Matt Busby had a trial at City but told City that he was thinking of emigrating to America with his Mother. So City offered him a one year contract and told him he could go to America after the year if he still wanted to but we were so impressed with him we offered him a full time contract during that year and he decided not to join his Mother in America and stayed with City. If City hadn’t shown so much interest and faith in him, he’d have gone to America and never have ended up turning United from nothing (nearly going bust and getting 11,000 average attendances in the 1930s) into the biggest club in the country.

We allowed them to use Maine Road after Old Trafford was bombed. They used it for 4 years just as City had been relegated and just as Busby started building a decent side. This lead to United sucking away our support somewhat as City fans were watching both teams but enjoying seeing ex-City star Busby at another local club playing in our own stadium and the better team at the time more. United wouldn’t have gained that support without being on our turf.

What have we got in return off the cunts? A banner mocking our longest trophy drought (but not Manchester’s longest trophy drought, as their 37 years is longer!)?
A couple more :
At least we've never had a top flight game with an attendance of under 4,000.
They had the league resignation letter written before they were saved.
Even Stockport County had no objection to Manchester Central joining the league.
In the early seventies used to talk to an old guy who was a rag. Used to chat about his life, how he ran away from home to become a jockey and played a number of games for Stockport amongst other things. Once when talking about football said how shit the rags were early to mid 20th century. Told me that one time he went to a match at Old toilet, he had forgotten his matches and had to walk about twenty yards to ask the nearest person to him for a light.

Our neighbours who were an old retired couple never needed an invite to come round.

Anyway a few years ago there was a City game on TV, tap at the door. It was the next doors wanting to discuss guttering! We invited them in an they started droning on. John clocked that my attention was on the game, and started reminiscing. He said that when the Munich aircrash was announced at school ( in Denton) all the kids cheered!

They were not and never have been adored by Mancunians ( rags, not John and Liz!)

A few years ago i spoke to an elderly man in Cheadle Hulme and told me as a child his dad used to take him to City matches. One Saturday morning they went to the local butcher and his dad mentioned they were going to the game that afternoon " That Ynitid then? " the butcher asked. The elderly man lowered his voice and said " do you know he confused me, I didn't even realise there was another team in Manchester".

My dad was 18 and an apprentice when news came through about Munich , your story is the total opposite to what he told me,he's still alive now at 83, he said grown men were crying openly on the shop floor. Its always stuck.with me and always will.

Agreed..society a lot different then. Not long after world war 2, my gran was a blue she would cry telling the story..

Not a stat but they had two of the most corrupt decisions against us last season and the second one was responsible for the only blemish on Ortega’s FA Cup record that ended up “costing” us a goal, as bent as it comes along with Atwell’s pathetic performance for THEM.
2 shocking decisions that would never ever be given any other time.

Last time the rags won a champions league, people still had MySpace accounts.

Their treble was available on VHS.
MySpace always reminds me of this video song parody of the time - don’t know the original.
‘What if god had a myspace’

The songs line:
‘Yeah… yeah… gods online’ heh

… maybe it’s just for the FOC IT crowd :-(
