Seems to be part of a new campaign to drag the club through the mud along with the Moron, Ziegler and Lawton shite. I predict another not very sensational “exposé” from Delaney in the next day or two also based on rehashed disproved garbage. The reason could possibly be to discourage players from transferring to us to try and scupper our season. They must know their allegations are going nowhere.

I agree. Its all desperate stuff no doubt being nudged very firmly by people involved/ associated with the history clubs. We have been very bad for business if your club was part of the supposed big 4 in 2008. Less prize money and less trophies. This means if you can't beat us on the pitch try to do harm to our legacy. It's failing. We have the strongest brand in world football, the highest revenues and probably the best team. That must really upset the entitled fans of the history clubs. Come on City!

Almost every member of the City squad past and present, almost every living musician or politician or actor or really any public figure you respect and probably a big chunk of your personal friends and family. Doesn't leave many people you wouldn't consider a ****.

I can't help thinking that they are laying the groundwork so that, when we are inevitably cleared of the serious charges, they can say how incompetent the PL and UEFA are, that they aren't able to run football and that a new organisation is required.

Part of the PR for an ESL imo. Some people are desperate for that to happen and will pay anyone anything to promote its underlying premises. It's clearly coordinated at the moment and the timing is interesting. Something is happening with the PL investigation would be my guess.

The "sales" of United and Liverpool are a good barometer, imo. If nothing is happening, it's a sign they feel an ESL is worth waiting for. If they actually happen, the ESL is dead.

If any of that is true, btw, Masters has been played like a two-bit fiddle.

Football seems to be rapidly globalising and City happen to be sat right at the top of the tree, so I agree with your general point - though that was not how they thought things would turn out for one second. But, the die is now cast and they have to deal with it. Add the known geo-political realities into the mix (Mansour at the Coronation, Mansour with Erdogan in Istanbul, multi-billion UK investment pipeline etc) The PL is in way over its head.
