Or maybe not glory hunters but fans , some long standing, that only get to go to games twice or a handfull of times a season now,and can't usually get wembly or final tickets.
You probably come under legacy fan mate ,they will have no interest in you unless you want to buy a bag full of stuff from the shop and are quite happy getting fleeced for food and drink in the ground ,

Likewise.

Followed City home and away for 34 years of winning fuck all .

Followed City home and away throughout the last 15 years of success. Seen City win every trophy.

Did the FA Cup final. Did Istanbul. Did Porto. Etc. Would have done Athens, but I can't get the time off work.

Missing the Community Shield due to the FA originally not giving a shit about City fans then trying to backtrack isn't a big issue for me.

Enjoy your trip to London and the day out at Wembley.
Yet you thought the 8pm kick off was a cracking idea for the travelling Newcastle support the other day as city were at home ?

We as in who? I certainly haven't boycotted any game?
All them game you have mentioned haven't been available to probably around 80-90% of city fans ....now tickets are available these people who wernt able to go are being mocked.
I predict we will probably sell about three quarters of the tickets (as per usual for this game) , which is a shame as it should be selling out, to see , possibilly the best city team we will ever see .
If you think a so called boycott is going to change things you need to look closer to home. Sat 8pm kos ,ticket prices going up again. . It's a money game mate and a few 1000 city fans not rocking up at wembley won't affect anything.
All it does is make our fanbase look shite again.
Maybe people can't afford it , I get that , but telling people not go to a game to support their team when it is possible to get back and there are lower priced tickets is just wrong.
Nobody has told anyone not to go. Where have you got that from?

Regarding things closer to home, well 1894 has long disapproved of the incremental season ticket increases. We also organised a very visual protest against the ticket prices for the PSG CL QF back in 2016. Result? Cheaper ticket prices for the semi-final against Real Madrid

Oh, and as for it not affecting anything we had all that shite from fans up and down the country when we - along with fan groups representing every other Premier League club - campaigned for cheaper away tickets for league games. Remind us all how that one ended because for the past 6 seasons no fan attending a Premier League away game has been charged more than £30 for a ticket

You say it won't make any difference and you've also thrown in the one that it makes our fanbase look shite so it's obvious that you're more worried about 12 year old virgins on Twitter taking the piss out of our support than anything else. As it happens, we're also making a wider point that encompasses the shite kick-off times fans up and down the country have to put up with and once that gains traction with the FSA you'll see fan groups coming together again just as they did with the TwentysPlenty campaign

That was my point really but it's hard to distinguish between the 2 and matchday fans get lumped in with the tourists as if it's the same thing when talking about these things,

We as in City fans. Those games I mentioned we took less than half of the normal allocation IIRC so in theory pretty much anyone who wanted to go could have done so. I am sure someone on here will remember exactly how many we took. For many years we only took small allocations at London grounds because of ticket prices, and there have been times when we didn't sell out Liverpool and Everton. I haven't told anyone not to go to a game and you shouldn't take it personally, if you want to go then go, nobody will have any issues. Who cares what other fans think, there are plenty in the PL who don't even bring 3k to the Etihad so they can hardly moan when we only take 20k to London.

I won't be attending this, can't be arsed with the mither and expense of getting to and from Wembley on a Sunday afternoon.
Even though we lost I enjoyed last seasons at Leicester, a smaller closer to home stadium, had enough of being treated like an after thought.

I fully support the boycott and have donated to the JustGiving page for the Foodbank. However, there is a chance I may be going because we'd already planned a weekend of going to Legoland and staying down there to take my 6 year old to his 1st game at Wembley. All depends on our house move date.

However, I fully understand the logic of the boycott but what I can't understand is people preaching to those who are going yet are attending the Super Cup in Athens. Surely there is even more reasons to boycott that game than this one after the debacle of Istanbul?

Sales criteria is a joke.Anyone with 20,000pts can get 4 tickets at 10am.All cheap tickets will be gone by 1pm.When I can get mine with 19,000pts+.Might be time to join the boycott

I'll follow you everywhere!!!!!!!! (Unless it's a Sunday, Monday, or in London).

Tickets for the match & the Great British Beer Festival bought and hotel booked for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Looking forward to a cracking weekend.

Although the League Cup is classed as a major trophy for last season and for last season only, a team that won even less than United will be competing against us in the Charity Community Shield.
Known as the Community Shield since a damming report that the FA didn't actually give any money to charity's back in the day !
