Like you said, Walker speaking to Pep today, probably the others did to inform him about deffo leaving, rather than just speculation.

Who said Pep was surprised? I've seen it said he's disappointed but I doubt it was totally unexpected.

Well surely Pep would have known prior to today? Walker & Mahrez have deals lined up, Bernardo & Laporte have been wanting away and Cancelo exists. None of that should have been a surprise. Conversely, neither will have been him telling them they aren't guaranteed game time.

Bizarre that they have apparently left the conversations until the day before the preseason tour, when Pep will have countless press conferences. And with only securing Kovacic. He'll be fucking fuming.

Mahrez goimg means phil more time on the right and also a chance for palmer (unfavoured postion though) and McAtee

berny being more versatile is the bigger worry

The only player I think Pep would get frustrated about in the list of leavers is Bernardo. And I think the fanbase would quickly echo the sentiment. If he does leave then absolutely we need to move quick. He is not a player we can afford to lose without top class replacement IMO.

The club doesnt tend to do direct replacements too so will be interesting to see how Pep will change things.

yep not too sure what to make of it, is everyone really back in training? I hope its not the case some of them forcing moves by not returning.

17th was the return date, two full days without a tweet of players arriving back and some training pics is quite strange in the age of twatter. we used to have those every time on the day players reporting back ,our biggest tweet last 2 days was that we signed Adebayor almost 15 years ago lol.
albeit what the media team did at the parade it wouldnt surprise me if the photo lady was on holiday or had his machine faulty etc.
