I know but I feel as if I am cocking a snout at the Establishment! :-)I mean strictly speaking it's not your responsibility anyway. You give cash, it's up to them to declare it.

Yeah, I’m not convinced he’s looking at this correctly! Wages will still go directly to bank but if folk want to withdraw for whatever reason then it should be an option.People don't want that though, they want a choice. Looks like the plastic wavers want to amble into the matrix and drag everyone along with them ;)
Show me one example of someone going in to a cash only venue and walking out with products without paying correctly.Yeah, I’m not convinced he’s looking at this correctly! Wages will still go directly to bank but if folk want to withdraw for whatever reason then it should be an option.
I can see me going on a big fuck off spending spree in about 20 years a couple of weeks before they try and take it all from me! :-)
You were talking about people getting paid all their wages in cash, which whilst that obviously happens in certain industries isn’t really the norm. The ones that do tend to get it daily or weekly as well so not as though they’re carrying a couple of grand in their back pockets.Show me one example of someone going in to a cash only venue and walking out with products without paying correctly.
Swansea started card only to speed up service on the concourse. They extended it to the shop as it worked well.
That’s the thing, cash isn’t the best option for many but for those it is they should be afforded the option. The Mrs goes mental when we get a cheque or cash payment. Much easier to send an email invoice and get a BACS transfer, sometimes almost immediatly. Having said that, a lot of our clients are scattered across the country, some abroad. I still cant see a cashless society any time soon unless it's becomes a mandatory thing.
We have ways and means.. :-)There will never be a completely cashless society.
Abolish paper money and people who still want to use cash will just use an unofficial unit of exchange.

Not sure what that first paragraph means?

He is a covid idiot and loves a good conspiracy theoryI'd be shocked if that were true, it's illegal.
Even the bank wouldn't allow it.
Imagine getting paid your net monthly pay in cash. You wouldn’t feel safe carrying it.
Yeah, the thing is tho, they largely do things like that on the basis of what voters fancy. Like 2 kid limit on child benefit. I mean. Take it out of the kids, keep them in hand me downs and cheap food, no outings. So they know they're less than other people. That'll have em raised into proper self-respecting citizens. Utter nonsense. But it appeals to people. It's virtue signalling of a sort. It's the CBDC's you have to worry about, not paying with your card like now. When the government can take financial privileges away for posting the wrong word on social media, saying the wrong thing in a call to parents, or sending the wrong photo to relatives, individuals self‐censor and exercise extreme caution. In this way, control over money can create a social chilling effect. I work for a bank in the IT dept and the amount of info they have about people, by mining your transactions is unreal. When the Govt have this info, they could impose limits on how you spend it.. Eat too many takeaways, they could limit you to once week, on the pretext of it's bad for your health. On the dole and smoke too much, they could impose a ration. Avoid it like the plague

Nobody gets paid wages monthly.
If you get paid monthly it's a salary.
If you get paid wages, it's daily, weekly or fortnightly.
Maybe I don’t fully understand the official definitions. But from what I think the difference is, I know loads of people who get paid a wage monthly. Or 4 weekly.
Taxi driver only accepted cash last night. Wasn’t happy. Tax dodging bastard
