Josko Gvardiol

Last year we had 1262 pages on Cucurella, and then bought Akanji (who hadn't been mentioned all summer) on the last day of the Transfer Window.

Not sure if that's a good omen or whether we just struck lucky.

So are you on board with Ray on this? Just asking...

I honestly wouldn't want to commit either way at this point.

Mangala was supposed to be the dog's bollocks when we signed him, as was Koulibaly when we tried to sign him.

According to many people on here Akanji was rubbish before we signed him, and Ake apparently wasn't good enough.

I'll keep my fingers crossed on Gvardiol (if we ever actually sign him), and just hope that he's another Stones or Dias rather than Mangala.

Much as I loved Otamendi I am hoping he is better than him as well. de Ligt, and Upamecano were meant to be the real deal as well.

Why's he being compared to Otamendi all of a sudden?
He had a tendacy to rush in challenges. But you can't fault his overall aggression. In relation to Gvardiol he did foul Dias for their equaliser in the first leg. Just hope he can cut that out.
