They'll just keep spending then when they fail premier ffp just admit it pay the fine of 10 bob and carry on...

We’re nowhere near even close to failing FFP. We’ve sold close to £300 million this summer. I think we technically just needed to sell around £60 million to avoid FFP trouble.

Chelsea have been responsible for a minor infraction dating back to 2012 and perhaps being continuous but perhaps not. This went unnoticed until the takeover when the everso virtuous new owners drew UEFA's attention to it. My concern is that this is evidence of incompetence or worse on UEFA's part. It is at least evidence that their examination of Chelsea's accounts was rather less than thorough, and this may go for other club's accounts, at a time when UEFA were prepared to fiddle their own rules to impose draconian punishments on City and then rely on stolen and doctored emails to stitch us up. A governing body? Or a red top lickspittle?

You had tonsell €200m before july 1st! Unless you sell at least 100m more you will fail ffp but you only have to admit to it and you just get fine!

Premier ffp should change to uefa ffp, have it go of a % of your earnings..

or just fuck it off..

Honestly don’t know. I think they are assuming they will breach and will just take the fine. Or firesale youth players (so pure profit) before 30 June 2024

Surely there is severe punishment for a big breach in FFP? Even allowing for new owner spending rules there is no way they can stay within the limits.

£200 million. I don’t think that quite right. From year to year we just need to raise around £60 million, unless we raise our revenue.

Would be a fine and a squad reduction, which wouldn’t really matter as they don’t have enough HG as it is right now.

Suspect they’re expecting to miss out on CL again this season and trying to build a young squad to challenge longer term.

Just a random thought, watching Chelsea v. Fulham , Chelsea has no advertising on the shirt, it's a refreshing switch. Admittedly, I am an FOC and remember the days of just the badge on the shirt.

No idea mate. Nothing was said about it except the new ownership reported it immediately after noticing the discrepancy during the take over process and UEFA have taken this long to decide on it and the matter is now resolved. It could be 120 different infractions or 2. All we know for sure at bare minimum 2 of them were 7 years apart. It could be anything from actually cooking the books to missing emails. I have no idea, none of us will unless we get more reports and/or leaks.
Standard reply from you, quelle surprise.

I see Nkunku is going well pre season. Good signing I think. City had a look.

It's FFP and its targeted application that is wrong, not Chelsea. They should be able to invest as they please.
Regulating the P&L is interfering with business operations. If they regulated the balance sheet, it would ultimately come down to debt which would achieve the objectives set. But, of course, the G14 refused to cooperate.

Love him already. What’s encouraging is he hasn’t even been top 5 most impressive players for me this preseason. I think Nico Jackson is going to surprise a lot of people next season. He genuinely looks unreal.

Same.

Jackson is gonna wanna be startin' somethin' in the Prem this season :)

Yeah I can’t wait for the season to start. Another player I think should start in that opening game vs Liverpool is Maatsen. Poch has done a great trying him out in different positions and he’s been excellent in every single one. I honestly think he should be starting ahead of Sterling at RW.
