Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

If paqueta joins I wonder how our squad looks.

GK: Ederson/Ortega

RB: Walker/Akanji

CB:Stones/Akanji/Dias/Gvardiol/Ake

LB: Ake/Gvardiol

CDM: Rodri/Phillips/Lewis

LCM: Kovacic/Silva/Paqueta

RCM: KdB/Paqueta/Alvarez

RW: Foden/Silva

LW: Grealish/Foden

ST: Haaland/Alvarez

This is also assuming guys like Laporte and Cancelo leave

The more I think about this transfer, the more on board with it I am. The fee is pretty high, but I’m not paying it so that doesn’t really bother me. Think he’ll thrive at City, and gives us a bit more creativity in midfield. Get a winger in now and it will have been a very good window.
It’s one of those out of nowhere and one probably none of us thought, but now it’s there it’s like ‘that makes sense’.

Ah, don't think that affects it. Would be rash and could lead to overspending. Txiki is usually slow and methodical.
What a bag of shit that last sentence is. How the fuck do you know anything of the way he works. Just pure made up crap.
You have NO ide as to how long transfers take and each one has its own merits on the ease or complexity of each individual case. There are many many people who work on a transfer NOT just Txiki.

Looks like we really want this done asap, wrong to think this also means we’ll definitely get a winger in? Certainly thinks Palmer is liked

I think someone to play in place of Rodri (so he doesnt have to play 55 games a season) without the team's performance going down by 50% is more important than a winger, which is why I'd privilege Caicedo.

Bernardo, Foden & Alvarez can play on the right-side (and well).
Exactly my thoughts, Caceido is a tremendous player already but would get even better under Pep’s coaching.

Brighton ? we should hold out for 100 million ;)
think those days are gone where brighton is concerned, rumours that the kudus deal is delayed because he is wanting a release clause in the contract, while tony bloom is a good business man of that there is no doubt this is whats going to happen with brighton signing people going forward

hi @oakiecokie this is typical of some of the shite that gets posted on BM by knowall fuckwits - totally ignorant of how things actually work in the real world .

Hard to ignore and not respond even though you know deep down that you're wasting your time with the terminally braindead.

Yes but he isn't going to want to play rotation with Rodri.
We've a potential 65 games per season. Moving to a team challenging on all fronts is different to life at Brighton with all due respect to them.

40+ games at City, or 40+ games at Brighton? I know which I'd choose. From his own mouth, Rodri needs a rest & this provides opportunities to others if they're good enough to grab them.

You still gotta understand the player in question will want to be seen as main man not somebody else backup and hated being seen as backup.

So that's why many of those player opt to choose a lesser quality midfield competition in order more guarantee starter and not being part of rotation.
