Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

He didn't have a particularly bad season either. Arguably better than Bernardo's, Rodri's, Jack's, Mahrez', Cancelo's, Gundo's first seasons with us.

We were in for him last year, Pep is rumoured to have been watching him for some time. He has had very good seasons with Lyon before landing at WH. So I imathere is something there the club are looking at.

I would be much more comfortable with that, i.e a very good and proven player that has had an average season, than an average unproven player, that has had a couple of months of excitement to show (like Mitoma). Although the way things are going, we may end up with both.
Hopefully he gets off to a great start

If Palmer goes & We sign Paqueta, wouldn't that mean that Bernardo & Phil will share right wing duties

I think if he were to stay, yes. If he goes, I personally can't imagine us not signing another. Happy either way obviously.

...If we can get Phillips in there too then brilliant. Surely he’s taken the hint and isn’t still clinging to the second season syndrome - still can’t believe he actually mentioned that himself, shows a lack of mentality IMO. Like he’s living more in hope than in belief.
Where do you get all that information from? I mean that could all equally be not true.

I mean I'm no Phillips fan but I heard all the same shit about rodri and so many other players that went in to win a treble.

It's almost as if our owners know more than the fans in how to run a club?

think those days are gone where brighton is concerned, rumours that the kudus deal is delayed because he is wanting a release clause in the contract, while tony bloom is a good business man of that there is no doubt this is whats going to happen with brighton signing people going forward
Bloom made this rod for his own back with the way he handled the Cucurella transfer, IMO. Obviously it ended up working out for us, but Cucurella really wanted the move to City and only ended up at Chelsea because that was his only option when that was the inflated fee Bloom would accept. Bloom effectively blocked Cucurella's move to the best team in the world and I'd suspect Cucurella holds him responsible for severely damaging his career. Other players would have taken notice.

I was going to say this yeaterday, but it is even more true now. Whatever happens, the pace of this has been something else.

I know Tolmie mentioned it like 6 days ago, but from it breaking in the mainstream yesterday, we've ticked off most of the usual cliché milestones in less than 24 hours.

We've already had: strong interest, City will push, player wants move, WH won't consider it below x, has release clause, would consider it for around release clause value, player's had has turned, Pep has been a long term admirer, WH may not be able to keep him, interest in Palmer as part of the deal, player may not feature in opening game, WH would like to conclude this quickly.

That's like 4 weeks worth of transfer tango all crammed into the space of 24 hours.

The rumor of someone injured was spot on, but it just wasn’t Kovacic
Weird people calling the ones who were passing on the rumours frauds. They did get the information right just the wrong person, can happen who’s arsed.

hi @oakiecokie this is typical of some of the shite that gets posted on BM by knowall fuckwits - totally ignorant of how things actually work in the real world .

Hard to ignore and not respond even though you know deep down that you're wasting your time with the terminally braindead.
How very true CBB ... unfortunately. Schoolkids hey ??
